Video (un: gr€€d)
[There's that second of shaky-cam when Mammon starts up the video and the camera focuses. Once again it's his selection of items, or rather wares: everyday items like knitting needles and typing paper, a typewriter, nail polish, a skein of yarn, something that looked like a metal lacrosse set, a blank book and a pen. There's clothing, several sets in different styles and sizes, a set of men's boots, a large fur cloak made of a single wolf-pelt. There are a few more dangerous items too, bullets and a shotgun, various knives. The camera lingers on each item for a moment, showing it off, as Mammon speaks.]
This worked out so good last time I thought I'd try it again! I'm sellin' all this stuff to anyone who's got somethin' to buy it with. There ain't a lotta cash on board so if you got none, maybe we can trade. Or ya can owe me somethin'.
Oh -- and since space is boring and I'm such a nice guy, I'm rentin' out some of my own stuff. [He pans to another set of items, grouped together on their own: a deck of playing cards, a set of dice, and a handheld game console.] Make me an offer and I'll let you take one of 'em for... I dunno, let's say a day.

And if she's entirely honest she doesn't need to broadcast her affairs for the whole ship to see when it comes to personal needs. (Her question about not noticing the pairing process happening was completely legitimate.) And well when you typically argue more with your partner than agree better just to keep it all face to face anyway as much as possible. Not that she's going to give him much choice in dealing with her as she arrives outside his cabin.
She doesn't pause to knock or even give him a heads up just checks to see if the door is unlocked and walks right finding that it is. He'll get used to this, she's not exactly what you'd call respectful of personal space when it comes to a certain type of individual.]
Any partner discounts I should know about?
[She is actively trying not to search out the shotgun. She has a feeling she'll have an easier time getting it if he doesn't know how much she wants it.]
no subject
Why would I give you a discount for bein' my partner? Shouldn't you pay me more for that?
no subject
Why should I pay you to be my partner? [She rolls her eyes at him. Please it's not like she would have picked him anyway if it was left up to her.]
Just wanted to see if there was an incentive to taking some of the extra clothes off your hands. [Not that she's interested in any of them nope. Not at all.]
no subject
You should pay me more because I'm your partner. [He smirks.] That's stupid, right? Well that's how ya sound askin' for a partner discount. [As if closeness begets generosity! Scoff.]
Sure, the incentive's that you won't be cold. [Yeah, Lady, so not interested that you barged in to check out the merchandise. He knows you're sniffing around.]
no subject
Wow I'm impressed you actually made a smart argument. [That's all sarcasm she isn't impressed in the least. But yes where she's from closeness does tend to have some benefits.]
You're kind of assuming things there aren't you? [But does he know the clothes are a misdirect?]
no subject
Keep it up. Every time you call me stupid I'm doubling the price.
No I ain't. You wouldn't be here if you didn't wanna buy. [He doesn't know what she's after but he can tell she wants something.]
no subject
I didn't actually call you stupid. And I was referring to you assuming I was cold. Do I look cold to you? [She'd spin if she thought it would help anything.]
no subject
[Lady, your clothes are designed around the Rule of Cool.] Yeah, you look really cold.
no subject
[Only when she's hunting and she's typically not cold when hunting. All that running around. Or in this case, stalking closer.] I think you should take a harder look in that case.
no subject
[He's not doing a great job of defending his territory, backing up when she advances, but he's at least keeping himself between her and his merchandise.] Either you're freezing or you ain't human, and I'm pretty sure you are.

Would you rather have the possibility of money or the actuality of someone to play with?
no subject
Probably the money. Why?

I don't have much money, buuuut... I have some stuff from home if you wanna do a trade or something!
no subject
Yeah, come by and show me what you have. 505 -- and don't forget your money!
Action time!
Five hundred and five, wasn't it? He hoped his memory served him well, because he only knocked once before he peered around the door. "Shopkeeper, shopkeeper... I'm here to browse your waaaares~!" He announced along a little tune. He was also here to feel out just how aware of his stock Mammon actually was, but nobody who was any good at stealing would announce their intentions so blatantly.

"Hey! You're the pen person, right?" He wasn't entirely sure if Juuzou was a boy or a girl but it didn't really matter, money spent the same no matter who you were. Mammon drops two handfulls of multicolored markers onto his bed alongside the journal and pen. "You're in luck. I got just about every color."
