[the video feed is accompanied by a very irritated, very british voice with a very important question:]
Is this someone's idea of a joke?
[this of course refers to the pile of old tape recorders at floor level currently being shown on the screen.]
I'll have you know, I don't find this amusing in the slightest. Nearly broke my neck tripping over these damned things.

My cabin should suffice for the test, should you be so inclined.
[He's not necessarily going to tell Jon every warded area. Some are secret for a reason.]

Right, [jon says aloud, mainly to himself, because of course a cabin should be warded, that makes perfect sense,] yes, of course. Whenever you’d like. It’s not like I have a work schedule, after all.
[he … sorta wishes he had one though. not having work to bury himself under is driving jon a little bit bonkers.]

[It's completely logical. Why would one not ward their private space into an appropriate sanctuary? That's generally the wisest and first step in any new domain.]
I am open whenever you are. I likewise find my schedule rather empty while we are on our long journey. Anomalous circumstances notwithstanding.
[There's really not much to do in the middle of space until Navi hits a nebula and ruins their time for a few days to a week or so. This lack of purpose really is maddening. Something else they have in common.]
