[the video feed is accompanied by a very irritated, very british voice with a very important question:]
Is this someone's idea of a joke?
[this of course refers to the pile of old tape recorders at floor level currently being shown on the screen.]
I'll have you know, I don't find this amusing in the slightest. Nearly broke my neck tripping over these damned things.

Archivist. I work for the Magnus Institute in London, and I started out wanting to digitize the collection of statements I inherited from the previous Archivist, only some of them wouldn’t record digitally. Thus, the tape recorders.
[and his life has been a shitshow ever since. 🙃]
I, erm - I don’t think we’ve met. I’m Jon.

A pleasure. And yes, that has been pointed out to me previously. I don't know why a cassette tape works when other more digital methods don't, actually ... it just does.
['cause ceaseless watcher says so.]
Are you - erm, do you happen to be rather well versed in digital technology?

Nope! I’m a forensic tech. So I know a little bit about allllllllllllloooottttt of things.
