[Hello, passengers! Hope you're all ready for an announcement, 'cause Navi's voice is getting beamed into your head right about ... now.]

Attention, passengers.
We'll be landing soon on the planet Umora, at Kupra City.
We'll be docked for two weeks, local time.
Please stand by for atmospheric entry.

[Is it just your imagination, or does Navi sound more tired than normal? Either way, it's now time to BUCKLE IN, CHAPS. It's not a particularly rough landing, just your standard amount of turbulence, though it may seem a little jarring to those who aren't used to space travel.

Upon docking underwater and disembarking, passengers will find a bank counter just past the terminal, where your new windfall of Navigems can be exchanged for credits (the universal currency).

Have fun! And do try not to drown … ]

Normally Lady wouldn’t give something quite so gimmicky as a treasure hunt a second glance. Her life back home didn’t really have a lot of room for tourist attractions. She was always on the move from one job to another job and tourist traps weren’t high on her priority list as she traveled. Less so compared to room and board and things like ammunition for her weapons as she went. But then she’s far from home these days, isn’t she? Curious Lady makes her way to the counter for the tour. Or whatever the little kiosk was considered.

Maybe under other circumstances, she would have considered what actually caused her to even give such a place anything more than a cursory look. For now, that she approaches the counter open to whatever she’ll learn there, not even getting a sour look on her face when she notices a familiar head of hair already there. Though it doesn’t stop the somewhat unpleasant thought she somewhat intentionally sends his way.

“Wasn’t the point of the planet so we wouldn’t run into each other?”

Rude? You bet it was, but why did this have to appeal to him as well. It’s not like he would share whatever he would find. Assuming it was anything of true value as a tourist attraction. More likely it was something kind of cheap with enough thrills to get the heart pumping and adrenaline flowing to excite the customers. Or at least that’s what it would be if it were business. Hopefully, she’s wrong or she’ll be really annoyed.

There is a certain type of mind that sees AMAZING TREASURE HUNT! EXPLORE THE SEA FLOOR! signs and beelines for the attraction without a second thought. That mind is filled with sunken pirate ships and crumbling caskets overflowing with gold coins and precious gems. Mammon's practically bouncing as he steps onto the submarine/tour bus, heart light at the prospect of a payday.

Lady's mind being on the same track was...awkward, to say the least. He'd been happily oblivious to her presence until that thought of hers flashed through his head and he looked around in surprise. Oh she did not follow him here.

"Ya know if you start a fight with all these people around they're gonna think you're crazy."

Then maybe she'd get thrown off the excursion, which would serve her right. As an added bonus she wouldn't try to get her grubby hands on his findings.

Hopefully, that same mind is ready for what Lady is banking on to be a complete disappointment. Pirate ships weren't exactly a dime a dozen where she was from and she doubts they would be here if that was what they were going to experience. Not that she has much idea what to expect if she's honest. She didn't have a lot of time for scuba diving before now.

She gives him a little wiggle of her fingers in hello. Yes, Mammon you're on a treasure hunt with Lady and you'll just have to deal with it. Though that doesn't mean she won't rain on his fun just because after that reaction.

"Or they'll appreciate having a demon removed from their midst. But I'll keep to my corner if you keep to yours."

Don't go dreaming of things that are unlikely to happen. Just because she attacked him once in private doesn't mean she's about to repeat the experience publicly on a strange planet. She has more sense than that and she kind of likes the idea of keeping what freedom is still available to her.

A planet that's mostly underwater probably doesn't have pirate ships, at least the type Mammon and Lady are thinking of, but this hasn't occurred to him yet. It's visions of gem-studded sugar plums and sunken galleons for him until proven otherwise.

When Lady waves at him he rolls his eyes and looks away in annoyance. "Yeah, go ahead, tell 'em I'm a demon. That'll make ya look way less crazy." If Lady was still watching she'd see him shaking his head, irritated.

"Just 'cause we're on the same boat doesn't mean you're getting any cut of what I find, understand?"

She can't wait to see his face when he realizes that there are no galleons and gem-studded sugar plums to be found. She might laugh out loud for all to hear. It'll be great.

"Good thing I don't actually care what any of these people think, then." She's not staring in his direction but she's keeping an eye on him from her peripheral vision and snorts a little at the head shake. Never let the monster that could shred you into pieces go unwatched that's like rule number one when it comes to knowing demons.

"I'm positively crying inside boo hoo, boo hoo."

The trip isn't over yet! It's possible that the treasure hunt will end up living up to its hype. Or this could be a tourist trap like a trip to a pyrite "gold" mine. They don't know for sure...but honestly, she'll probably get to laugh at him.

He's sulking now, the initial excitement of treasure hunting significantly cooled off. While he's not too worried about the damage Lady might do, it's going to hamper his greedy enjoyment a lot wondering if she'll try to stick a knife in his back.

"Did ya show up just to ruin this for me?"

"That would imply a level of care for you that I don't have."

Does she have any objections to seeing him no longer haunting the halls of Navi? Not a one. Would she prefer to be the reason he is no longer stalking those halls? Yes, she would. But she wouldn't be half as good of a demon hunter as she is if she pursued targets aware she was hunting them as single-mindedly as the ones that aren't aware of her until it's too later. It was a quick and easy way for the demon to set its own countermeasures to blow up in her face.

"You keep out of my way and I'll keep out of yours this time."

"Sure, you don't care at all. That's why ya tried to kill me as soon as you saw my horns."

Mammon's seen hostility from humans before, but demon-hunting isn't something he normally has to worry about. Overzealous witches or sorcerors popped up now and then, but most of the violence he had to worry about came from other demons looking for a shot at glory. None of them had succeeded in killing him yet. Lady clearly was tough, but she was also human and comparatively fragile and squishy and... well, truth be told, Mammon didn't want to have to squish a human.

"You're the one makin' that hard, not me."

"Hardwired instinct, I'm sure you can understand at least that much."

And if not well that's his problem not hers. Besides she's got a mission and she intends to see it through. It has nothing to do with glory. She just can't stand the idea of demons even mostly lesser ones having free run of her world unchecked. And she is something of an adrenaline junkie. Good luck trying to squish her though if it came to that. She's taken on bigger and stronger and come out at least mostly fine.

"Not like I knew you were here until I boarded. And I can't have them stop and let me out now can I?"

"I only got instincts like that around money."

Even Satan wasn't as hostile as Lady had been, and he'd wanted to publicly execute Mammon before. Plus Mammon knows deep down his brothers really do want him around, even if he annoys them. He has no such guarantee with Lady. She could try and stop him, but if his big crime was just existing, they were going to have a problem for a long time.

"Bet they'll turn around for you."

He can probably hear her sigh from where he's sitting. She likes money plenty but it's never made her kill another human. Plenty of demons though. It's a job though right? But ding ding he at least got that much right, it is largely just for him existing. Granted the demons in her world are little quicker to attack and try to eat her than he is though.

"Not like I'm going to ask. I already paid for this and there aren't any refunds."

Mammon doesn't usually kill humans. It's happened a few times but that was back when the rules were different and humans were a much more popular Devildom dish than they are now. Now that Lord Diavolo wants peace between the three realms Mammon is keenly aware that he's not really allowed to kill humans. Not unless he has to out of self-defense. So far Lady's been a big thorn in his side but he doesn't know if she's capable of killing him.

"Well ya wasted your money. If there's any treasure I'm takin' all of it, just you watch."

Ah well, that's one of her best traits being a thorn in the side of someone she knows. And since her normal side isn't present, he'll just have to do, won't he? But she'd bet she could hold her own in an actual fight. Besides she tends to grow on people after she shoots them a few times it's like a tradition.

"I bet it's set up so something like that can't happen. Wouldn't want to upset the tourists now would they?"

Lady, that's his job! Not the shooting or the fighting but the being-annoying part is basically Mammon's raison d'etre. Just please don't shoot him for it.

"Maybe, but they never had the Avatar of Greed on one of these things before."

Oh, he's plenty annoying have little fear of that. That doesn't mean she can't prod back if the mood suits her. And if it does well tough, she's doing it anyway.

"Watch them assign you a section and confiscate whatever you find if you try to go to another." The thought makes her laugh. That would teach him. Play nice with the people Mammon and maybe you'll get to keep whatever "treasure" you find.

As long as he keeps his record! Pushback is a normal part of that, so bring it on, Lady.

"You think that's gonna stop me?" It might, in fact, stop him given that he doesn't usually threaten innocent humans. Usually. It is a different case if gold's involved (although even then he's unlikely to hurt anyone for it).

"So if it ain't for me, you're here for the treasure, right?" He settles down in his seat as the tour guide explains the emergency procedures for the submarine/bus and points out the exits. He's not paying attention, of course, crossing his legs and linking his hands in his lap as he slouches casually. "Maybe I'll just stick to your section, since you've been such a jerk to me."

Never fear she will.

"Not in the slightest. I'm looking forward to it actually." Because she totally has at least one of her gun on her simply out of habit that's ready to fire at a moment's notice right now or anything. (She definitely does.)

"Something like that." Lady is at least paying attention. She'd like to know exactly what to do in the event the submarine/bus starts taking on water. Somehow drowning in whatever this thing was made out of didn't sound very pleasant. "Watch me get the lone dude of a section."

She really hopes that wouldn't be the case but it would serve him right if it were.

She can try, but shooting the greedy scumbag is probably going to be more disruptive than letting the greedy scumbag do his thing. Well, he's gambling on that, anyway.

That's not a very good deterrant and Mammon smirks, not looking at anything in particular. "If there's treasure I can sniff it out. Don't worry about that. And don't even think about goin' into mine. I could eat ya if I wanted."

It will really depend on how much of a nuisance he makes himself. Though she has been trying not to shoot certain kinds of demons just because she felt like it.

"I'd really like to see you try. It could be fun."

And Mammon has gotten a bit less annoying since he made his pact with the human exchange student. That's growth on both their parts, sort of!

"I ain't here for you to have fun with."

Has he though? Has he bothered to check with anyone if that is true? Because Lady's pretty sure she and the rest of the passengers would say he's still very annoying either way. Whereas she has actually managed not to shoot a demon that isn't actively threatening someone in years.

"Oh well I guess I'll just have to make my own. The horror." Yes that is sarcasm a ton of it too.

He has not. Checking his assumptions against reality isn't exactly his strong point. Still, he's pretty sure he's a little better than he was! The power of spending time around decent people.

"Just do it far away from me."

She's decent people. He's still obnoxious as hell.

"So do me a favor and stay away from me."

She hasn't been very decent to him! He's allowed to be!

"Fine, I will! And you stay away from me!"

He sounds like a petulant schoolchild when he "says" it. He might as well have stuck his tongue out at her.

That's not how he gets her to be decent to him if that's what he wants. It just means she's more abrasive because he's abrasive.

There is a definite desire to roll her eyes, but since he can't see it she just barely curbs it. No point if he won't get the full effect.

"Perfect."

Of course, this means the rest of the trip is spent quiet save for the noise of the sub/bus. Not that she minds, Lady actually prefers the quiet wherever possible. Just the chance to be alone with her thoughts as it were. It's nice. Though she does tune back in when they arrive at the "dig site" and their guide it giving final instructions. Death by drowning is not her idea of a good time.
