Gooooood morning passengers! Time to rise and shine - with a very important Navi announcement incoming:

Attention, passengers.
We'll be landing soon on the planet Trelnar,
near Vivamion City.
We'll be docked for three weeks, local time,
which coincides with the city’s annual winter festival.
Should you require any weather-appropriate clothing,
I will handle the bill for your expenses.
Please stand by for atmospheric entry.

Have fun! As Navi said in their message, any passenger who requires a warm winter coat, scarf, hat, gloves, and/or boots before joining the festivities will be able to select such items from one of the shops near the docks, charged to Navi’s account. Passengers will also find a bank counter just past the docking terminal, where your new windfall of Navigems can be exchanged for credits (the universal currency). Try not to spend it all in one place!

He turned around, a little surprised and that was pretty good - it was hard for people to actually get the jump on him.

He smiled. "This is a wintery world right? I'm hunting for Santa Claus."

To Demyx, that logic made total sense.

The logic somewhat tracks, she'll give him that. This may not be Earth's North Pole, but maybe Santa's an even busier guy than rumored and works in more than one world. We just don't know!

"Oh, sweetie," she says, with a playful shake of her head, "Operation 'Kidnap the Sandy Claws' didn't work out so great for Jack Skellington. I'd actually argue that story's a great example of the importance of staying in one's own lane."

Some might try to convince Demyx that Santa Claus isn't real, but not Jack. She herself is a creature of myth, and her best friend is an angel from a religion in which she holds no belief whatsoever. If her time kicking around the multiverse has shown her anything, it's that anything is possible.

"But more importantly - what do you want with Santa anyway?"

Jack Skellington...did he know that name? Demyx wasn't entirely sure, but that was neither here nor there in the end. He twirled the net a little bit.

"Isn't it obvious?" Demyx asked her. "I want presents!"

Santa had a reputation for only bringing presents for good girls and boys and Santa did not bring presents to naughty Nobodies, even if they were young and unable to do anything but follow orders.

It's OK, Jack's used to nobody understanding her pop culture references. But at least the Santa myth is one she and Demyx have in common, so far! She gives him a slightly quizzical look - curious, not unkind.

"You know you can buy yourself presents, right? That's what those gems Navi gave us are for. No need to wait on old Saint Nick to deliver the goods."

"Uhhh, isn't that just buying something?" Demyx didn't exactly need or want anything. At least, he didn't know if there was anything he could want. It was complicated.

"But that's not why." He shook his head. "Santa owes me! He never brings me any presents!"

Oh. OK, she's starting to see the picture a little better now.

"Technically, yes. But it's buying yourself a present if you say it is. I do it all the time."

Her parents haven't been in the picture for a long time, and she's never had close friends. No one left to do the giving of gifts but Jack herself.

"So the big guy's been holding out on you. Reckon he's had you on the wrong list all this time?"

"Well..." Demyx paused, he couldn't exactly say that's true, at least definitely not recently.

"I don't know, but when I first became a Somebody, I thought it would be nice if Santa brought me something."

That never happened. He also wasn't really allowed to have anything, ultimately, so it was disappointment all around.
