We'll be landing soon on the planet Trelnar,
near Vivamion City.
We'll be docked for three weeks, local time,
which coincides with the city’s annual winter festival.
Should you require any weather-appropriate clothing,
I will handle the bill for your expenses.
Please stand by for atmospheric entry.

Have fun! As Navi said in their message, any passenger who requires a warm winter coat, scarf, hat, gloves, and/or boots before joining the festivities will be able to select such items from one of the shops near the docks, charged to Navi’s account. Passengers will also find a bank counter just past the docking terminal, where your new windfall of Navigems can be exchanged for credits (the universal currency). Try not to spend it all in one place!

Senku snickered a little bit. "Haven't been there, but I'll take your word on that."

"Haven't got a reason to go to Vancouver, but I was headed to San Francisco ages ago when I left my world."

"Eugh." Lucifer makes a face. "Why would you do that? Unless it was 1969 - now that was a good time to be in San Francisco. Nowadays, though, you can't throw a rock without hitting some joyless tech bro who thinks wearing a suit jacket over a t-shirt is some breakthrough fashion statement."

"I highly doubt that there are any tech bros hanging around." Senku commented a little dryly.

"I'm not going to find people though, I'm going to find corn." He smirked a little bit. "Faster way to mass produce alcohol if we can get it."

"Corn? In San Francisco?" Lucifer frowns a moment, then apparently has a realization. "Oh, I see. Post-apocalypse of some sort?"

"Yeah." Senku agreed with a bit of a nod. "It was 5741, and we've been rebuilding for three and a half years since I got up. Mind you, Gen says we're going to face some trouble there, but that's alright, I'll think of something before I head back to deal with that."

“Apocalypses are always so boring,” Lucifer says with a long-suffering sigh. “And almost always entirely your own fault. Except for the flood, but that was a one-off.”

"Could be our fault, but I'd be hard-pressed to see how." Senku said with a little hum. "But then again while I know how the event happened, the why is still a mystery and will be until I go up to the moon and see what keeps trying to attack us."

He looked like he was thinking for a moment. "Of course the entity in question could tell me, but he didn't seem to feel like talking when I tried last."

Lucifer has, quite frankly, checked out of this conversation already. He’s gone through a lot of growth the past few years, but getting him to care about someone or something outside of his own immediate concerns is still a long shot.

Right up until Senku says that last bit - that piques his interest.

“You, too? That can be so frustrating. Count yourself lucky that in your case, the all-powerful being who won’t explain himself isn’t also your Dad. Unless he is, in which case, welcome to the club.”

"Ha." Senku chuckled lightly. "Highly unlikely since my dad lived and died thousands of years ago, so I don't think it's him. I told whatever it is that I wanted to talk and he responded by trying to attack us again, so you know, don't think it's much of a talker."

“Well, at least you know what he wants, that’s more than I can say for dear old Dad,” Lucifer comments lightly.

Yeah, if Senku was looking for insight or sympathy, he’s in the wrong place.

“Looks like you’ve got a lot of drinking to do while you’re here. Best take advantage of it while you can.”

"Hmph. He wants to hold humanity hostage for all eternity. I suppose that's knowing isn't it?" He wasn't much for platitudes or sympathy.

"Can't deny I enjoy drinking on occasion. My husband doesn't drink, so I don't do it often. When I was on the train, I had a friend I drank with."

"Your husband sounds like a regular wet blanket," Lucifer mutters. "Good luck finding some amusement on this planet, anyway. I haven't really seen any decent clubs or piano bars yet."

"Nah, between the two of us, I'm definitely more of the wet blanket. He just doesn't like having his awareness altered. I don't have to do my job right now, so it's fine if I get totally smashed if I want." Senku hummed and shrugged. Gen wouldn't appreciate it, probably, but he didn't do it often enough to be annoying.
