Hello, passengers! Hope you're all ready for an announcement, 'cause Navi's voice is getting beamed into your head right about ... now:

Attention, passengers.
We'll be docking soon at the city of New Ecrillion, on the planet Zegnolia, where we will remain for approximately three weeks, local time.
Please stand by.

From the announcement until landing, to help everyone adjust to the new environment, Navi will gift all passengers with a a faint hummed melody.

Upon docking and disembarking, passengers will find a bank counter just past the terminal, where your new windfall of Navigems can be exchanged for credits (the universal currency). Try not to spend it all in one place!

Now, go get your groove on! Just remember to take breaks to hydrate.

"Well, I've gotten some better food going with a few tricks, but our diet is incredibly restrictive due to what we can get." Senku hummed lightly.

"We do however, have liquor. Sake, wine and brandy." Senku chuckled. "I don't really know how to make a piano though."

"Well, I suppose even an apocalypse can be tolerable if you have enough liquor. Maybe," Lucifer muses. Not that he's keen for one.

"I believe a lot of people see it that way. It's not the kind of apocalypse you see in the movies, unfortunately." Senku hummed. "The actual event happened over 3700 years ago, so whatever humanity had built up worldwide at the time has completely vanished."

"Ah, so you're post post apocalypse. Society rebuilding, kind of thing, got it," Lucifer says, nodding, already attempting to slot this in with his pop culture knowledge. He's got a lot of it.

"Something like that. Not as typical in lore, if you like that kind of thing." Senku personally did. He enjoyed myths and legends, particularly the ones of ancient civilizations.

"It's not too bad, but I was very busy, so the last trip I came from and this trip is kind of interrupting."

"Well, aren't we all busy? I had a realm full of demons to manage, back in Hell," Lucifer says nonchalantly.

That sparks his interest. "A place called Hell, or the mythological place spoken of in relgious texts, or some kind of other option?"

Fortunately, due to his detour, Senku's mind was fairly open to a wide variety of possibilities.

“Yes,” Lucifer says. “Hell. Where humans go for their eternal punishment. And I rule there. Lucifer Morningstar, the Devil, Beelzebub, etc.”

"Interesting. I'm not a believer." In case that hadn't been evident by his suggestion that it was some kind of mythology. "There's nothing to suggest my world actually has a hell."

Aside from life on Earth as they knew it really. "I'm Ishigami Senku. Senku's fine." He was used to introducing himself at this point.

"Seems like a rigged system if the majority of people end up in Hell."

Lucifer shrugs. He’s never cared whether humans believe in anything in particular. Especially if they’re from different realities.

“The system in my world isn’t rigged. No one sends humans anywhere - they send themselves. Punishment or reward, it depends on what they think they deserve.”

"Really? That's interesting. Do many people believe they deserve to be punished then?" He was all too curious.

"I mean, I assume whatever religious texts existed in my world, it wouldn't matter because no one can actually know what happens after we die, but that's how humans work."

“It’s nothing to do with religious beliefs. Not usually. It’s about guilt. Have you done something in your life that you believe was truly unforgivable? Something you know, deep down, you deserve to be punished for?”

Lucifer shrugs again. “It’s both very simple and very complicated.”

Senku considered that for a moment or two. "At times, but I don't think so. I don't feel the guilt for the few things I did at the time any longer."

He shrugged slightly. "Well, if I end up in Hell, the religious people would've pegged me right."

“Maybe, maybe not,” Lucifer says dismissively. “I’ve known humans who swore up and down they had to do this or that, that they felt no guilt because it was right, and they’re in Hell for all eternity anyway.”

Like he said: both simple and complicated.

“Not that it matters here. For all I know, your reality works in a completely different way. I only know how mine works.”

"That's true too, hard to say if it works the same." Senku shrugged.

"I'm confident in the actions I take. If I have to pay consequences later, then, I'm prepared for that." He responded. The way his brow furrowed made him look a lot more serious and older than just some random 20 year old.

"Yes, lots of humans say that, too," Lucifer says with a faint smile that says in his experience, it's usually not true. "But I don't know you from Adam. Adam, by the way, was a bore."

"I've never been accused of being boring, but that depends on what kinds of things you like. Mostly I make things." Senku chuckled. "All kinds of things. I'm a scientist."

“… sounds boring,” Lucifer says bluntly. “Unless what you’re making is particularly exciting. Making things is pretty vague.”

"I suppose that's fair." Senku chuckled. "Well, we lived in a stone world in terms of technology and we've made a variety of things including a cell phone, a car, a tank, a ship...we've got a paved road and electricity. I've been busy the last several years. The last thing I made before I got taken away was a drone."

“One universal truth is that humans are always full of ingenuity,” Lucifer says lightly.

"We can agree with that, that's how I feel about humanity. I think they'll persevere and continue on, even though we were attacked like we were." Senku responded with a smile.

"So, you don't consider yourself human? What do you call yourself, then?" Lucifer asks, curious. He does so enjoy slotting people into his various pop culture categories.

"I do." Senku responded. He'd always thought that way, however. "I might be strange in various ways, but I was always just human."

He hummed. "But if you look at the traits humans have, that's a fascinating question. Can I still be human if I'm as old as I am? I've long outlived any human lifespan. That's an interesting thought."

"In my experience, immortal humans are still human," Lucifer says. "Admittedly, I have a sample size of one, and I also wouldn't recommend it. By the time I killed Cain, it really was better for everyone."

"I suspect at this point that all of the humans may be immortal in my world and that is a significant problem." Senku hummed.

"How old was Cain?" He couldn't help but wonder, just curious about it.
