Hello, passengers! Hope you're all ready for an announcement, 'cause Navi's voice is getting beamed into your head right about ... now:

Attention, passengers.
We'll be docking soon at the city of New Ecrillion, on the planet Zegnolia, where we will remain for approximately three weeks, local time.
Please stand by.

From the announcement until landing, to help everyone adjust to the new environment, Navi will gift all passengers with a a faint hummed melody.

Upon docking and disembarking, passengers will find a bank counter just past the terminal, where your new windfall of Navigems can be exchanged for credits (the universal currency). Try not to spend it all in one place!

Now, go get your groove on! Just remember to take breaks to hydrate.

“… sounds boring,” Lucifer says bluntly. “Unless what you’re making is particularly exciting. Making things is pretty vague.”

"I suppose that's fair." Senku chuckled. "Well, we lived in a stone world in terms of technology and we've made a variety of things including a cell phone, a car, a tank, a ship...we've got a paved road and electricity. I've been busy the last several years. The last thing I made before I got taken away was a drone."

“One universal truth is that humans are always full of ingenuity,” Lucifer says lightly.

"We can agree with that, that's how I feel about humanity. I think they'll persevere and continue on, even though we were attacked like we were." Senku responded with a smile.

[dealwiththe]

"So, you don't consider yourself human? What do you call yourself, then?" Lucifer asks, curious. He does so enjoy slotting people into his various pop culture categories.

"I do." Senku responded. He'd always thought that way, however. "I might be strange in various ways, but I was always just human."

He hummed. "But if you look at the traits humans have, that's a fascinating question. Can I still be human if I'm as old as I am? I've long outlived any human lifespan. That's an interesting thought."

"In my experience, immortal humans are still human," Lucifer says. "Admittedly, I have a sample size of one, and I also wouldn't recommend it. By the time I killed Cain, it really was better for everyone."

"I suspect at this point that all of the humans may be immortal in my world and that is a significant problem." Senku hummed.

"How old was Cain?" He couldn't help but wonder, just curious about it.

Lucifer shrugs. "Cain was born before humans invented things like months and years and whatnot. Several thousand years, or so, I suppose."

"Yeah, me too. It's exhausting." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Not that I did much for much of that time. I'm living a strange life."

"Cain wanted to die," Lucifer says bluntly. "Tried everything. Even let me take a whack at it, or four."

Like he said, it wasn't great for anyone.

"Fortunately for me, at this point, I have no such interest in death. Too many things to do." Senku responded.

"But I could forsee it being a problem in the future." He said, with a frown. "If I really couldn't die someday, that would be a problem. For me and everyone else really."

“Yes, it can be a massive problem, speaking from experience,” Lucifer says with feeling. After all, he’d lost a friend to Cain’s madness. He almost lost Chloe, as well.

"Well that's a problem for the future. For the moment we have our own problems here. Are you here by choice?" That seemed like the most pertinent question, not that he would begrudge anyone's choices, just that he had other things to do.

“No one is here by choice,” Lucifer points out. “But so far, that’s the only problem I’ve come across. Why, not enjoying space Vegas?”

Senku chuckled at that. "Not particularly, actually. I'm far more at home in my lab than out clubbing or some sort of activity like that."

He hummed. "I could use a drink though."

Lucifer scoffs. "That sounds like your job. Surely you have hobbies, as well?"

He waves a hand broadly all around them. "Drinks are possibly the easiest thing to find here. Can't throw a rock without hitting a bar."

"No, that was always my hobby." Senku chuckled and shrugged. "Maybe now my hobby is magic? I'm not sure."

He wasn't good at hobbies or relaxation. He was the kind of person who would work every hour of the day if he was allowed to, which he was not. "Oh! But I like stargazing." It had been awhile since he truly got to enjoy that though.

"That's true, then I'll go find one. Maybe something that's not akin to wine or brandy, just to mix it up."

"Some interesting stars to see from Navi," Lucifer comments lightly. "But the observation deck isn't going to stay quiet for much longer."

He gives Senku a little mocking half-salute. "Try the whiskey. It's strong enough even for me."

"Oh? Why not?" Senku asked, blinking a little bit.

"Whiskey huh, could be a good choice." He'd try anything once.

"Because it has the best acoustics on the ship, so I'm turning it into a piano bar," Lucifer says simply.

"Mildly disappointing." Senku admitted easily, but he long knew he had no control over other people or their actions, nor did he want that.

"You won't be for long," Lucifer assures him. He makes sweet, sweet music.

He chuckled. "We'll see." Senku was just not a music guy. He raised a hand. "See you later." He was going to get a drink.
