[ For the browsers of the network who had tuned into this particular entry, they are met with a dizzying sight. The cinematography is atrocious. The feed bobs and weaves from side to side, shadowing the curious movements of the head of the person holding the comm device far too close to his nose from the other side. It may be difficult to see, but the turquoise-ish fluid oozing from a small puncture wound was a bold contrast against the otherwise metallic slate of the wall. ]
The wall scolded me! That's so weird..! [ The owner of the voice was... Hard to identify. Maybe a young woman, or an even younger boy. The teetering footsteps that bounced the camera seemed to imply that he was cautiously keeping his distance from the wound of his own making; a interested sort of hesitance that seemed unclear in its intent. ] So, I was thinking, maybe I should put something up so I can throw my knives when I get bored... But wouldn't that mean I have to put a hole in there, anyway? Even if I try to be good I'll still get in trouble! [ The exasperation in the stranger's voice left as quickly as it had arrived in lieu of something sincerely enthusiastic. ]
Oh! [ The video was obscured by a brief cascade of white and then a large, red eye. Bowing right over the communicator to regard it upside down seemed like the most reasonable route to take, even if not the most comfortable looking to a casual observer. ] I'm Suzuya, your new crewmate! Let's all get along ~ You can call me Juuzou instead if you want, I don't really care about that. [ There were more important things to discuss, after all. ] So, the wall wont take away my Quinque if I'm bad, right? It just tells me not to..?

[That pun is free. The rest of it, however, has him struggling a little to understand some of it. It's clearly a thing that is an object, or a body part? No it couldn't be a body part.]
If you tell me what exactly the Mexican food sounding thing is then I can probably tell you if you get it taken away.
no subject
Huuh? What word..? [ Juuzou paused and hummed thoughtfully for a moment. ] I don't speak Mexican, I'm Japanese! If you tell me then maybe I can help you. Our names are both numbers so it's okay if you ask!
no subject
I'm going to give you a tip. [Take that pun too.] Poking holes in the space machine keeping us all alive? Probably not the best idea. I'm looking forward to seeing what twenty one is like.
Kuinke? クインケ? I'm really good with Japanese but I've never heard the word before and if I'd heard it even once in passing I'd remember. Meant it as light humour but I'm not all that funny sometimes. What is it? If you summarize, I'll speculate.

If you ask me, if the ship dies because of a tiny hole like this then it should hurry up and die already. [ There was no malice in Juuzou's voice, just a matter-of-fact declaration beneath the cheery lilt that carried along his words. ] Because it's going to die soon anyway if something thiiiis little... [ One thin finger roughly pushed itself into the wound, twisted for a few seconds, then slowly pulled itself out. An impressed little coo met the way that the strange blue fluid seemed to form a goopy bridge between its source and and offending fingertip. ] ... Is really that big of a deal~!
[ Juuzou took a moment to read the kana on his little device's screen. He softly read the characters back to himself, getting louder and more confident with each syllable. ] Ah! That's it! They're my knives! They're special so I don't want them to be taken away if I'm bad.

boysgirls can be psychotic. This is someone he'll have to do him an avoid of on the ship. The one thing he doesn't need is a bunch of holes in him. Psychotic tendency is something learned well enough growing up in an orphanage for brokenass kids.]Heavy question, heavy answer. I don't think I'm afraid of dying, but it'd be my first time dying so I want it to be done right. It needs to be special. Also if we're diving into the mentality of my mortality, you can call me Matt.
[The sounding out of a basic component of Japanese makes him shift to voice instead. As far as he knows, that gets translated. But you know. There's also the idea that
heshe looks like she's much older than she's speaking. Then again, Japanese women were pretty as fuck and just as weird sometimes.]Alright. Knives, special form of knives. Got it. Solution there is pretty easy, don't be bad. You know what bad is by your own definition and so just don't be bad and you won't have to worry. Wrapping back around to stabbing the ship, that might be one of the things you should probably avoid to not get something nicked.
no subject
Ehh? Special? [ Genuine confusion raised the end of each of the two words. ] Is there such thing..? You just stop breathing. Even if you do something flashy it will be the same as everyone else, you know. But that sounds like fun... Don't disappoint me, Matt-san!
[ The camera jumped to echo the surprised jolt from its owner at the sound of a voice. ] It's Matt-san! Good morning! [ Perhaps it was from the adrenaline of the little startle, but Juuzou seemed excited. At least until he was given an answer that he really didn't want to hear. ]
Juuzou-kun, be a good boy... [ The soft volume of his voice implied that he wasn't speaking to Matt; rather, to himself. His ordinary volume resumed as Juuzou continued on. ] Ahh... But even if I'm good, I think I will still be scolded. I want to know if the wall will take my Quinque, that's all, that's all... Do you know the answer?
no subject
That's why you have to die in a special manner. You die like everyone else but not like everyone else like a rube. You just got to not die until it's worth it, that's the point. Yeah I rarely disappoint people. [He's good at lying, let him live.] I'll go out in a blaze of glory and gunfire just to satisfy my inner cowboy.
[Jesus this energy.] 'Morning. [Jesus that voice is a boy?! Whatever cosmos, make it weird then.]
Scolded, yeah, but that wasn't a variable. The variable was you getting your knives confiscated. You just shoved a finger in it... so... I doubt the wall has arms, just sass... Assessment: Probably not. I can't say that same thing for everyone else that actually have arms and hands.
no subject
But when you're scolded, that means you're going to get punished if you keep being bad. [ Which is why he was a little uncertain about the consequences of his actions. Absently, he smeared the blue blood-esque fluid between his fingers. Very viscous. Nice texture. He almost wanted to see what it tasted like... ] But I was just throwing my knives at the wall! I wasn't out to stab anyone, you know... [ The pout upon his lips was practically audible as he whined. Also, yes. A boy. He gets that confusion a lot, even when face to face with people. ]

[He's keen on not dying, but he's also quite interested in the inner workings of the ship. If it's actually bionic, that means it has to know if someone's fucking with it's central workings and this is the proof he needs. So. That means he has to find the glove compartment around here with the driver's manual if he's going to take it over and go the fuck home so Mello and Near can stop a) acting weird and b) moping.
Thanks random psycho, that's helpful. People like this can be useful if he's manipulatable, too.]
...Which is exactly why you don't keep being bad? [This is reminding him a little too much of some of the kids that came in to the entry level and never made it passed the evaluations.] I'll give you that throwing knives at a wall, normally for most of us, doesn't make the wall bleed unless the house is possessed. I'm going to throw a wild suggestion instead of a knife out here, Suzuya. Have you considered not knifing things by either throwing or stabbing?
no subject
But I don't know what the ship thinks is bad, anyway! Like I said, I was gonna put up a board or something but that would mean putting a hole in the wall and that's bad too! [ Juuzou wiped off the blood onto the side of his pants. Even if it looked like goopy sugar, he wont put it in his mouth. Not this time, at least. ]
... Mm... [ That... Was not an easy task. The sort of destructive itch that had been so deeply nurtured into someone like Juuzou wasn't dismissed by being told to 'just don't'. ] Because I have to..? If I don't, it will just... Hm... [ Yeah. Putting this into words... Wasn't easy. ] This is just what I do! If I don't then it won't be right..?
no subject
You're doing this to hold your focus. [He's already gathered small bobbles that are chess pieces if he arranges them on a clear surface and uses his memory.] Alright, got it. If, personally, I had to choose between one hole and then protecting the thing that needs to be protecting, it stands to reason the one hole would be best. Your tactical one hole versus stabbing and bleeding out the ship slowly is going to be the better way. Alternately your room has a desk, you can flip it on its side. Depending on how you like sleeping, maybe even your bed. Or we can see what kind of panels can come off the ship safely and put it in your room, then some idiot doesn't walk into your space while you're training for the circus.
no subject
Um... I guess? [ If that's how Matt wanted to phrase it. It was more like an itch that needed to be scratched, and one that his job back home satisfied very well. Redirecting his violent urges was beneficial for almost everyone. Except Ghouls.
But Matt had a great idea, one that even prompted Juuzou to gasp. ] Matt-san is so smart! That's why I didn't understand earlier! [ Clearly, that had to be the reason. ] I can sleep on the floor! And you're right, you're right - I did do circus things! Let me show you some time, okay~?
no subject
But Juuzou can tell him how smart he is again, that's acceptable. At the expense of Juuzou calling himself stupid didn't feel right, but it felt nice. Thanks.]
Yeah you could tip the mattress onto the floor, then just stand the bed on its side. That was just an educated guess based on some humour I tried again. Didn't realize you did circus things. I guess it wouldn't hurt to see circus things.
[At least not much.]
If knives are your thing, then you're pretty deadly accurate, huh?
no subject
I like that! I'm gonna do it! [ Oh! Right. There was a video. Poor Matt had been subjected to a corner of the wall this whole time. Juuzou swung the device upwards, humming to himself whilst he tried to figure out what to press to actually turn it around... There! Now Matt can see just how grateful he is, and, you know, actually see his face that was beaming from ear to ear. ]
Mmhm! I'm good with them! If anyone could beat me at hitting a mark with my knives, I would buy them breakfast for a whole year. [ Just don't question where he got the money. It's fine. ] Why? Do you need me to throw one at someone for you, Matt-san? [ He asked with a questioning tip of his head. Someone or something, but someone would be better. Moving targets are far more engaging. ]

If you must throw knives, might I suggest obtaining something of a self-standing target instead? Navi would likely appreciate it if you refrained from putting holes in them.
no subject
Right, right... Standing targets! Someone suggested using my desk or something, I think that will be good. I just don't understand what the big deal is. Besides, if Navi-wall scolds me, and can't do anything else, then I can just keep using my Quinque on it anyway, right?
no subject
Navi's health and well-being is necessary for our own survival. They are the ship, without them we are stranded in space and will likely expire once food and water stores run out.
In short, it is not recommended.
[Yes he does always talk like this you're welcome.]
no subject
So... You're telling me, this huuuuge ship will just die? From little holes like this one? [ The tip of the knife presumably used to create the aforementioned wound gestured loosely towards it. The still wet shine of blueish blood still staining the blade was telling. ] Is that what you're saying?
no subject
[He has the impression that this human is not exactly "normal" by the standards he's accustomed to. That doesn't mean he's not going to keep trying reason.]
no subject
Well, it's rude to take me here in the first place, you know... Besides, I wasn't trying to hurt it. How was I supposed to know that a wall would scold me?
no subject
no subject
Sooo, do I get anything from the appreciation? Will it give me food if I don't make holes in the wall or something?
no subject
[Why is everyone allergic to watching the video?]
no subject
[ With the way the camera swung around on a wide arc, its owner seemed to have swung around and turned on his heel. ] Mmm... [ A thoughtful little hum accompanied his thoughts. ] A little? It was waaaay too long, and I don't really care about any of that stuff!
no subject
[Not a bad deal, right? Don't stab the ship, get an allowance. Easy. Also, man, it's a good thing Murmur's used to a perception that swings around wildly otherwise this kid would give him motion sickness.]
I see, well, to trim it down for you the ship is alive and eventually you will be psychically paired with someone.
