Hello, passengers! Today begins just like normal, but it’s far from an ordinary day. On this fine point in space-time, passengers will notice a little something different when it comes to the glyphs marked on the backs of their hands.

They're glowing. The light is a deep shade of blue, and it's slowly blinking on and off. Maybe it's searching for something? It's entirely possible, because affected passengers will also feel a gentle tugging sensation that stops once they've come face to face with their partners. The glyph will switch to glowing a steady blue once partners are synced with each other, and they'll be able to communicate telepathically with each other, too.

Have fun getting to know each other a little better! Or, you know. Yelling at each other. Just try to keep the murder to a minimum, OK?

Julia is normally fairly decent when it comes to stopping her anger. Normally being the optimal word because right now she definitely isn’t good at in the slightest. When he probes her mind, things come to the forefront of it: a cage, pain, screaming, blood. It’s enough to make her eyes widen and go more animalistic as she presses forward and slams him against the wall.

“Don’t ever do that again.”

Richard just swallows hard and grunts, his glasses sliding down his nose and clattering to the floor. He bares his teeth back at her, "I thought you wanted me to be honest about how I'm psychic."

He grimaces, "Agree not to murder me."

But she can probably sense his fear and uncertainty as his mind nearly dips into an abyss.

"I'm not going to murder you." Julia lets out a little growl as she lets him go, taking several deep breaths in an attempt to get herself under control from what she's experiencing right now. It's big and a lot and Julia hates that she can feel his fear rolling into her own and threatening to create a giant ball of stress that threatens to envelope them both.

"Calm down. I'm not going to kill you. This place is too fucking small to kill anyone and knowing our luck we'd just come back and have bad blood anyway. Take a few slow deep breaths." Because Julia is used to people having panic attacks around her. One more thing that comes from working a horror shit show like Usher.

One breath.

Then another.

Then a third.

Something slithers in his chest as he slumps when she lets him go. His brain is chaotic.. Twisting swirling mass of something moves around in his head and he struggles vainly to try and some sort of wall up between her and him mentally only he can't hold it.

"...If you saw in my head."

He pauses, "...Which you did. You'd know why I don't want these so-called...gifts."

Howard Strand looms dark and heavy in his mind after all.
