Is there a bakery on board or a corner store or do I just talk to myself like a bad sci-fi series standing in front of an alcove to get what I want to eat?
K thanks.
For anyone walking the hallways, Matt happens to be exploring at the moment. There had to be something a little more convenient than a kitchen where he could burn the entire ship into obliteration. The redhead has decided that the "Plant room" is also a place of interest, sort of mulling about there or around in general. He's not exactly the sort to approach people as much as watch from afar at the different points he recons on his little search for somewhere that at least had easy grab snacks. Or maybe the place where his car is storedspoiler alert: it isn't since he has his keys uselessly with him.
(Feel free to wildcard or use one of these! I'm OTA)

The tiny shift in Matt's position was not lost on Near. His eyes dragged to regard the third, then wandered elsewhere again. Back to the keys to hold them up and observe how they shone in the flourescent ship lights that beamed down from the ceiling of his cabin. "Nobody else is here." Near quietly confirmed. That was a problem.

Just stare at the keys, Near. Don't make it weird. "Okay. Don't be so proud that you starve or something stupid. You need to get home just as much as I do."

"What would there to be to gain from that?" If Matt was concerned, that was an interesting way of showing it. "Starving would be too dramatic for the situation. Doing what is possible to maintain my health is the priority, even if any personal efforts won't be to the same standard as before." Near could survive on his own, but thriving was a different story entirely.

"And you're not dramatic at all, ever." At least not as dramatic as Mello. "Just don't die and if you think you're dying, shoot me a message." How to do that? Near could figure that out, they were that baseline in at least all of them being smart enough to pluck at technology. "I'm not your babysitter, but I'm not your enemy either. Are you going to be up for a while?"

"Not dramatic enough to starve for the sake of proving a point." He hoped. Sometimes, his poor attitude could surprise even himself in hindsight, but Near hoped he wasn't that petty. "No, Matt isn't an enemy. He is close to one though, considering his affiliations." Meaning Near didn't see him as a threat, but couldn't treat him with the same level of loose lipped trust as he would ordinarily. Spilling his guts to Matt was more of a pre-Mello activity, before he had to worry about potential exploitation of any minor weakness.
"But sleeping isn't a priority right now, so if you're looking to steal the keys back then Matt might be waiting for a while for the right opportunity." He quipped with a short, sidewards glance to Matt. Bad joke, but it was still a friendly little dig towards the familiar face.

Speaking of, the small dig made him smirk and lift his goggles momentarily to rub at one of his now closed eyes. Lifting it back into place he shuffled onto his side with his back facing Near and his arm to lay his head by. "No, I just want to catch a nap with someone I can trust who won't stab me when I sleep. The keys are yours until I get my car, fair's fair." He looked over his shoulder, "Unless you stab me, then I take them back."
