event } ya gotta be a dolphin
WHO: All the little fishies!
WHAT: An underwater adventure
WHERE: Kupra City, or you can stay on Navi if ya want
WHEN: Dec. 20-Jan.2 16
WARNINGS: Use ‘em in your threads if needed! And if you end up taking an extended dip in the big drink, please report it on the death page.
[Hello, passengers! Hope you're all ready for an announcement, 'cause Navi's voice is getting beamed into your head right about ... now.]
Attention, passengers.
We'll be landing soon on the planet Umora, at Kupra City.
We'll be docked for two weeks, local time.
Please stand by for atmospheric entry.
[Is it just your imagination, or does Navi sound more tired than normal? Either way, it's now time to BUCKLE IN, CHAPS. It's not a particularly rough landing, just your standard amount of turbulence, though it may seem a little jarring to those who aren't used to space travel.
Upon docking underwater and disembarking, passengers will find a bank counter just past the terminal, where your new windfall of Navigems can be exchanged for credits (the universal currency).
Have fun! And do try not to drown … ]

He considers, "Can I say, I'm actually excited to experience this? He glances around, "Despite my trepidation, the science behind all of this must be fascinating."

Although he does seem delighted to see Strand coming around. "You certainly can! Despite the less than favorable circumstances, and completely reasonable wariness, this does offer an otherwise impossible opportunity. Might as well make the best of it, wouldn't you agree?"
no subject
He is used to a certain level of treatment, "I agree. I'e been saying for years that it is better to have an opportunity to study science. If we weren't wasting our time on the paranormal we could have this sort of technology."
He moves to follow him, "So this planet isn't dangerous."

"Do you not think there may be scientific merit to expanding perception beyond what is presently accepted as real? There was a time when microbes would have been considered as outlandish as ghosts, after all." Not that he's endorsing it, truth be told Murmur enjoyed not having to be particularly careful. Humans were remarkably good at dismissing odd occurrences as nothing but happenstance. Made his job easier.
"No more dangerous than any standard heavily populated city. I'd be mindful of thieves, tourism does tend to attract those sorts." But surely Strand already realized that much.

He considers this and then decides - perhaps - he should ask Alex about it. She had apparently done shopping and if he kept it strictly professional...
"What do you do? If you don't mind me asking Mr. Murmur?"
no subject
Not that he's going to volunteer as much.
"Oh, please, Mr. Murmur sound so strange," Oh it's horrible don't do that. Though that question does give him pause. Boy, if that isn't a difficult one to answer without lying. "I am a tutor of philosophy, and have in the past kept a library. That has since changed hands." An interesting parallel should Dr. Strand remember it, wherein the owner of that name was also rumored to teach philosophy. "Of course I lack any fancy degrees to give myself more credence. Merely one passionate for the art."

He'll move to look for a place to sit at the promise of tea, "I confess after you saying it I must confess a certain excitement now after your description of the purpose of this ship."
It's still dangerous, and he still thinks it's a trap, but he'll confess it's exciting all the same.

"From what I understand the original design is long distance transport of personnel. Thus the lack of armaments or an armory of any kind. If you have a moment at some point Navi is a delight to converse with. Though I must advise certain topics will be lost on them, they are somewhat young and inexperienced with the complexities of social interactions."
He finds it charming, but worries for them all the same. While Richard goes to find somewhere to settle in Murmur will go make himself busy with getting the water ready.

He settles in and frowns, "also how much do we get from our so-called allowance? Forgive me this still reads like an episode of the twilight zone."
It was a favorite of his when he was a boy after all.
"...Is there a lab somewhere or any other facility? I would like to know if I need to find supplies."

"Another difficult question. I do not completely understand the currency exchange, and it does somewhat change from planet to planet. Fluctuating markets you see, but typically enough to accommodate a couple sets of clothing or thereabouts." Currency was a bit fuzzy to him. "Of course one may also be able to barter work or trade for anything additional. Navi handles ensuring that we are fully stockpiled on necessities for the length of the trip. Food and such, though if you desire anything specific you'll have to find that yourself."
Alcohol has been an intensely desired commodity of late.
"There is an infirmary which is also kept stocked, I imagine you would find most of what you need there. Floor three, should you wish to investigate further."
