event } ya gotta be a dolphin
WHO: All the little fishies!
WHAT: An underwater adventure
WHERE: Kupra City, or you can stay on Navi if ya want
WHEN: Dec. 20-Jan.2 16
WARNINGS: Use ‘em in your threads if needed! And if you end up taking an extended dip in the big drink, please report it on the death page.
[Hello, passengers! Hope you're all ready for an announcement, 'cause Navi's voice is getting beamed into your head right about ... now.]
Attention, passengers.
We'll be landing soon on the planet Umora, at Kupra City.
We'll be docked for two weeks, local time.
Please stand by for atmospheric entry.
[Is it just your imagination, or does Navi sound more tired than normal? Either way, it's now time to BUCKLE IN, CHAPS. It's not a particularly rough landing, just your standard amount of turbulence, though it may seem a little jarring to those who aren't used to space travel.
Upon docking underwater and disembarking, passengers will find a bank counter just past the terminal, where your new windfall of Navigems can be exchanged for credits (the universal currency).
Have fun! And do try not to drown … ]

The topic of the books were a little amusing and it got the smallest of smiles from the otherwise stoic lips part hidden by his sharp overbite. "My, then I do dare say we have a lot in common in more general terms, as well. Mind you I don't think you read the same language I do, and also disproving ghosts is... Well." He crossed his legs, eyes looking over to the side as he thought about how to put this. Once he had it, he turned his eyes back toward this partner. "What would you say to someone who had actually spent time with ghosts?"

He waves a hand, "But I don't blame people, or aliens, or anyone for thinking it is. There is always an explanation for them in any capacity. So I say delusional in the nicest terms. It's not what people think."
This is him being nice.
"Though I'd need to hear more about it to ascertain just why you've spent...time with ghosts."

"Well, the answer is quite simple in that I was dead up until I got here. We were all dead." The ship, however, had other plans for him which were evident from the yellow sclera and slight red tint to his iris instead of the glowing white that he had seen for a great many years let alone that he wasn't sure how many any more. "That's the long story short of it, I suppose. In that way, I guess you could say you're talking to a ghost. However, I can't say it's the most content of memories to relay to a stranger."

A thought crossed Richard's mind. Was he dead? Did he crash on the way home from Alex? Was she dead? That thought made his heart twist and he waved it off.
"...How...Did you die?" a pause, "Is that a rude question? Are you - corpreal? I mean can you be touched? Pass through walls?"

and rightly so.He had just said it was a touchy subject, but if this man was writing thesis against it, maybe he should know. "I don't suppose it's rude as much as hard to tell." In fact, in many ways, it was everyone's fault but directly his own. If anything, the man really had taken his mind off of being under the water at least. Kankri, for once in his life, was quiet as he looked down at the neatly crossed intersection of one knee over the other and slid his hands over the kneecap that sat on top. "I'm very much corporeal." While he spoke, he offered out the hand with the calming blue colour of his glyph with the silent inference that his hand, free of his kneecap, could be touched. "As for how I died..."
That was a difficult one. "In summation—" which had him pause again, not for dramatic effect, just to really consider if it was summation. "For our betterment which I almost firmly believe was their intention, one of our teammates killed all of the remainder of us." That was pretty accurate without the gritty details he didn't think the poor stranger needed. "We would have been otherwise wiped from existence and likely our race with it if it hadn't happened in that direct order. It doesn't make it pleasant, I don't know that it was the lesser of two evils. But." He punctuated in matter-of-fact manner, his eyes finally coming back up to meet the other man's a little more conversationally than they had previously. "It's the truth at least." There had never been any reason to hide any of it, not even within the dream bubbles either.

The latter slips out and he shakes his head, "I'm sorry that's rude of me. All of this...I'm an academic I'm curious. Is this something that a - what are you exactly? A troll?"
A pause.
"I can arrange a trade for this information."

To further the humour of it, "There is only one bridge on this ship and I can't get under it, so you're not obligated to trade for anything." That was a fairytale joke. "Humour aside, of course you're curious. Your species is one of the most curious that I remember. In my best knowledge this isn't the afterlife and the life I had after, should you wish to call that afterlife, was more a purgatory. A reminder of all the things that everyone remembered. If it helps, which I hope, I would have agreed with you had I not died and—" the tall man lifted his hands, air quoting, "—"become a ghost." as it was." End quote.
