Hello, passengers! Today begins just like normal, but it’s far from an ordinary day. On this fine point in space-time, passengers will notice a little something different when it comes to the glyphs marked on the backs of their hands.

They're glowing. The light is a deep shade of blue, and it's slowly blinking on and off. Maybe it's searching for something? It's entirely possible, because affected passengers will also feel a gentle tugging sensation that stops once they've come face to face with their partners. The glyph will switch to glowing a steady blue once partners are synced with each other, and they'll be able to communicate telepathically with each other, too.

Have fun getting to know each other a little better! Or, you know. Yelling at each other. Just try to keep the murder to a minimum, OK?

Yes, it's a knife. That's usually something basic enough for most demons to know. Snorting Lady shakes her head at his claim over the washing machine. Please like that was the only problem here.

"I wouldn't if I were you." Oh no she's not having any of that. She shifts her hand in so the blade presses more firmly into his skin. Under normal circumstances things wouldn't have gotten even this far she would have just blasted him, but her guns are still in her room. Pity too. "Stabbing you for being a demon isn't reason enough?"

He knows perfectly well what a knife is, what he doesn't know is why one is at his throat when all he wanted was to wash his jeans. Rarely does basic cleaning result in punishment, in Mammon's experience.

"Or what?" Well, now he's doubling down and pulling on her hand even harder, pulling her forward against his back so he can better control her movement. "Ya don't even know who you're messin' with, do ya?"

It probably doesn't result in punishment. But is very focused on wiping out all of demonkind. Call it a pet project of hers that she's been working on for the last ten years.

If he wants her closer that's fine. She presses her other hand onto his shoulder and jumps wrapping her legs around his torso ignoring the scrapes of pain along her skin from his wings. She's had worse but this position does give her more room to fight back in keeping the knife in place. "Knowing what you are is enough for me."

This is not how that was supposed to go! Lady jumps on his back and Mammon flexes his wings to force her away, simultaneously backing into the wall. Maybe if he presses her into it she'll get lightheaded and let go?

Now that she's pinned he can focus on disarming her, trying to pry his fingers on the knife handle under hers. "I didn't even do anything yet!"

"Doesn't matter all your kind does is destroy." She bites the words out as she works to put some space back between her at the wall. Her fist arching toward his face while she tries to keep him from getting a grip on her knife. Going unarmed around a demon just screamed bad idea on all levels.

"What're ya talkin' about? I'm washing my clothes!" Clearly he is capable of doing something besides destroying things. His focus is still on the knife and her fist connects with his cheek. It hurts but it gives him the opening to spread his wings and, hopefully, fling her off him.

Which if she'd actually stop to think about it instead of acting is reason enough to stand down. But has a bad habit of acting first and thinking later when it comes to demons. His spreading his wings catches her a little off guard and she hisses as the spikes connect with flesh again. The act doesn't fling her off exactly but she does land just this side of gracefully in a crouch.

"Jerk."

"You're the jerk!"

She's off and that's all he needs. Mammon turns tail and runs, tearing down the hallway and off to hide or, hopefully, barricade himself in his room. Getting sliced up is not what he wants to deal with today! At least when that happens back home he's usually done something wrong first!

"And you're a coward." And here she thought Sid was the only cowardly demon she'd ever come across and not two in a little more than as many months. She chases after him but she doesn't expect him to be quite so fast, and she's faced plenty of fast demons. She's either getting old or she's severely underestimated him that he easily escapes when he reaches the stairs up.
