Rescue Party - Comm + Action
First, an Audio broadcast:
We are organizing a search party into the woods to retrieve our lost crewmate. Preferably before this Twig Man finishes whatever it is a Slenderman does with his victims.
With that said, meet outside Navi within the next thirty minutes should you desire to assist.
[Who identifies themselves on broadcasts really? Certainly not this guy.]
Then the action, OTA;
As promised, Murmur will be outside to await whoever decides to come along. The more the merrier, especially in this case. He doesn't exactly look the combat oriented sort, and that observation wouldn't be far from the truth. Nevertheless he can't just sit back on his heels while their crew get picked off by supernatural forest-dwelling monsters.
Well, he can, but it wouldn't be very ideal if he did.
Please join the bookworm in attempting to rescue Jon from monsters.

[And his own involvement in it. It's not like he wanted to volunteer to get involved.]
Will you be joining us? Your presence would certainly aid in expediting the process.

[He's not thrilled about the idea. But it's the sort of not thrilled that comes of having to actually involve himself in things, rather than any direct disinterest in the idea.]
Although I would have thought more people would already have offered their assistance.
no subject
[Mumur wholeheartedly understands. He shouldn't even be involved, his function is to be an unseen background influence. This was throwing all of that out the window, getting directly involved, and he really disliked it.]
It has been surprisingly quiet.
no subject
[Not that he has any specific objections to the world they happen to be visiting, despite the ... unusual inhabitant.
Still, there's a pause, and - after a moment - a sigh before he speaks again.]
I'll be there.
[And indeed, a moment later he is, stepping out of a swirl of darkness not far from where Murmur is.]

Upon his arrival Murmur glances over, offering a nod of greeting and gratitude. The backup is appreciated.]
A moment or two longer, I know Jack is coming at least.
[There's probably one or two more, so they should largely get out of having to do the heavy lifting.]
no subject
Which means that they will have to mount a rescue. Much though he might prefer otherwise.]
A moment it is, then.
[And fortunately enough, he doesn't mind waiting.]

“I don’t suppose either of you would happen to know any kind of size-change spell, would you?”
no subject
If the mortals were so easily subjected to the Twig Man's magics, eventually they'd be forced to act anyway. This simply spares them having to mount a larger and altogether more annoying rescue in the long run.
Murmur did huff a sound of amusement at the rather impressively sized bag of supplies Jack chose to bring along.]
Are you anticipating a long excursion?
[How dreadful.]
Unfortunately, no. If you require assistance, however, I could be persuaded to carry that when you tire.
[He's lazy, and decidedly not a gentleman. Jack wouldn't appreciate empty altruism anyway.]
It would seem no one else desires to answer the call, shall we depart?
no subject
"I wouldn't have thought there would be a need for quite that many supplies."
He does, of course, know a few spells capable of changing the size of an object. But neither does he see a direct need to offer that fact. Murmur has already offered himself to help carry the burden if necessary and that's more than enough as far as he's concerned.
"And the sooner we leave, the sooner we might find our errant companion."
Which is to say, he's all in favor of departing.

Not that Jack's done much camping in person. But hey, how hard can it be to start a fire?
"Lead the way."

"Is that another video game?" He asked of Jack, peering toward the woods while they spoke among themselves. While it might look like he was just trying to peer into the gloom, and that was true, what he was really doing was letting his awareness spread out so they weren't going in completely blind. Being able to see everything did come in handy sometimes.
"I suppose that is a valid point, I do hope we won't be spending quite that much time out here." He had forgotten the need for most people to eat, good thing Jack was looking out for herself in that regard. Murmur would absolutely forget to feed her. "Perhaps we'll be fortunate enough to pick up something of a trail ere long."
You don't happen to have any tricks up your sleeve for such an endeavor, do you? He asked more quietly of Emet-Selch, as he was already moving to head toward the forest. Might as well start somewhere.
action
Alone, though. After seventy years of experience, she knows she works better alone than with others. "Don't wait up," she quips to Murmur, heading for the treeline.
Re: action
"We'll be certain to go back through," He called after her. "Should you fail to return."
Who knows, maybe she'll find their lost lamb first and save him the trouble of having to participate in this endeavor.

It often went disastrously, but hey, it was something.
If she doesn't get into horrible danger, she'll make her way back somehow. Flit was good at figuring out the right place to be. And if she does get into horrible danger, she'll deal with it as it happens.

Good luck out there, Jane. Try not to get eaten by Slederman.
