[ Not until Chloe. And Chloe should know - she did interview like more than 90 of his sexual partners that one time. Not a single one was even a little bit in love with him. ]

[ Her smile is soft, faint. Then she winks. ]

[ That still just - brings him up short. Hearing her say that. What does he even do with that? With the look on her face, that she seems to reserve just for him? He doesn't deserve that. He wants to, but he's not sure he ever will. ]

[ Later, when they’re together again, she can keep showing him just how much she loves him. Express it in every way possible.

[ He doesn't respond on the network, because a few minutes later he's joining her in the observation-room-turned-piano-bar, sliding an arm around her waist and pressing a kiss to her temple. ]

So many stars. It's almost like I can reach out and touch one.

[ Chloe leans in against his side, her arm slipping behind him, fingers tucking in at the waistband of his pants. Her head tilts up as she looks at him. ]

[ He thinks about that for a brief moment. ]

Probably. Don't know why I would, though. They look better from here.

[ He rather pointedly studies her face, rather than what's outside Navi. ]

[ A dimple winks in her cheek as a smile appears. It’s like he knows what to say to make her smile. Her head rests against his shoulder as she reaches a hand to brush his jaw. ]

You realize this is almost the equivalent of telling someone eyes up here.

[ Laughing now, she snuggles closer, even as they’re standing. ]

[ Of course he knows what to say to make her smile. Why wouldn't he? Pfft.

His own look turns contemplative for a moment, though, as he studies her. A little uncertain. ]

I made some of them. The ones back home, anyway.

[ He frowns a bit, trying to come up with better words, then just shrugs, at a loss. ]

Dad made the heavens, then he told me I ought to put something in them. So I did. Where d'you think I got the name from?

You and constellations, who would've thought. Though I suppose that's a nice touch, from your father. His way of handing you a box of crayons and telling you to draw whatever you wanted.

[ It amuses her, she doesn't know why. ]

You humans made up the constellations, I didn't have any of that in mind at the time.

Keep in mind, this was back before, well... almost everything.
