[Hey passengers! Hope you’re not sleeping - Navi has a very important announcement for y’all:]

Attention, passengers.
We'll be landing soon on the planet Adhara, near the beach resort settlement of Cor Leonis.
We'll be docked for three weeks, local time, and all of your expenses during this time will be paid for.
Please note that no violence of any kind is allowed on the premises, nor are weapons, and the staff of Cor Leonis are quite serious about enforcing these rules, so please do your best not to break them.
Please stand by for atmospheric entry.

[Have fun! All passengers will be required to sign a waiver before being admitted to the resort stating that they understand their stay in Cor Leonis is dependent on following the no-violence rule, and they agree to abide by it. Each passenger will have a tab where all charges can be placed while in the resort, and all charges will be paid by Navi, so go wild!

Julia gives him a grin about offending Christians, because yeah she is definitely there with him with that. She's not done it here, but back home? Yep for sure. It's hard to piss off an Egyptian god, have him try and smite you and then rip the spine out of the thing he'd sent to kill her.

"I'll look around and see what they've got for art supplies here. I've haven't worked in oils for a long time." Longer than even she'd been on the ship. Shit, she hadn't done it since she'd given Harry and his husband a portrait as a wedding present. Aaaaand we're just gonna skip that emotional trigger. "Do you want any weird-ass like backgrounds?"

"Oh, I don't think so," Lucifer says, giving her question a moment of serious thought. "I wouldn't want to distract from, well -"

He waves a hand at himself. As if any background could distract from that!

"We could have me leaning against the piano!"

With a smirk, Julia considers what he’d said and she follows the lines of his body down when he waves his hands over them. He’s hot and he knows it which is cool cause Julia is also hot and she knows it.

“Could do it on the piano rather than against it. Kinda go with a pinup sort of theme with the stars in the background behind you.”

"My dear Julia, you are a genius!" Lucifer is utterly delighted by the suggestion. "The Detective will love it."

"'Course I am, sweetie. Did you expect anything less from me?" Julia is just going shrug and give him a wink. "Maybe I'll try and talk her into doing one herself so you've got a matching set."

Lucifer chuckles. "Good luck. She took her top off for a camera once, she wouldn't even come here with me."

"Well, I'm pretty damned persuasive, so if we're both working on it. But also I do have a decent imagination."

“As someone who specializes in persuasion, I’ve found it’s nearly impossible to persuade someone to do a thing they genuinely don’t want to do,” Lucifer says, almost thoughtful.

“I can’t understand it, in her case. She’s… well.” His expression softens, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “She’s stunning, of course.”

Julia just raises a brow and she smirks at him for a moment, before she is very clearly teasing him saying: "Oh my god, I'm gonna be sick."

Lucifer just grins like the cat that caught the canary. "I know, we're sickeningly perfect. Outrageously attractive, compatible in every way, meant for each other. Hashtag: relationship goals, as Miss Lopez would say."

"I guess it depends on your goal of a relationship." Julia doesn't know how she feels about the whole being perfect thing. She's definitely too shitty to have a perfect relationship--she'd never trust it.

Lucifer blinks in surprise at that. “I thought the relationship was the goal,” he says, frowning up at her. “Is there something else I should be going for, here?”

Julia just fixes him with a look because she's confused by his surprise, honestly. It's something that takes her back. With a brow arching towards her hairline she shrugs. "It's different for every relationship, you know. Like what you want out of them and shit like that. You two seems to be the whole true love fairy tale bullshit, but I'm not."

[dealwiththe]

"I don't know, actually," Lucifer says bluntly. "The Detective is my first relationship. Unless you count Eve, I suppose, but that was more of a months-long, drug-fueled sex party. Actually, that could more or less describe my life on Earth until I met the Detective."

So, seriously, he's new to all of this.

"I had no idea I wanted any of it until very recently. When we first met, she even turned me down for sex. The first human ever to turn me down. I thought if I could get her to sleep with me, that would get her out of my system." He actually chuckles at his past self. "I have never been more wrong in all my life. But I mean, me! The actual Devil! I wouldn't have thought I was even capable of..."

He trails off, squinting a bit into the distance, thoughtful.

"Doesn't sound like a bad life." Does Julia vote for that life for herself? Yeah she does, and in college it was like that with the addition of classes, but now drugs aren't something that she does. There's also all of the bullshit surrounding her world and the things that she's needed to do in it which is definitely not the sort of thing that doesn't have responsibilities in it. Frankly, saving the world kind of sucks.

But Julia just studies him, and then she gives a very sage nod in his direction. "See?" Her voice is soft and there's the undercurrent of her amusement in it. "Fairy tale stuff. Great grand love stories and all that shit. That's definitely not me."

“It definitely wasn’t terrible,” Lucifer says with a faint smile. He hardly regrets the way he lived his life before the Detective. It’s just that knowing her has changed some of the things that he wants from life.

“But I don’t think I’ll miss it, either. So what about you? Your girlfriend isn’t the fairy tale sort, either?”

"Not really, no. Besides, I'm not the hero in any fairytale, darling." Her grin is bright, but there's teeth in it both figuratively and literally honestly. "I'm the big bad wolf, and so is she." Of course it may not be in the same ways, but the two of them were both monsters and those stories never ended well for the bad guys.

Lucifer snorts. "It's almost as if you've forgotten you're speaking to the original bogeyman," he points out easily. "I'm always the villain."

He tilts his head at her, almost contemplatively. "It seems like the only difference between you and me is that your partner actively embraces your monstrous side, and mine - " His gaze skates off to the distance for a moment. "Mine makes me want to believe I'm not a monster."
