He feels a lot lighter being divested of his weapon and has enough of a brain to know not to make a fuss. As long as he can hunt and pick through things, he won't be a problem for beachgoers. Or maybe he will if those beachgoers try to take what he's already gotten piled up and picking through with a tick of his head very bird like from side to side to try to see out of the eyeholes of his mask more efficiently.
Don't mind his little snack if he finds shellfish in the shells. Man's gotta eat.
The Fireworks are a bit much for him, but he's also not about to attack anyone, just look more jittery than normal. What's normal jittery? Who knows.
The Boardwalk is another place to find such a nice guy, thrilling himself with the sights, sounds and lights. Arcades he has never been to, food he has never tried, freedom that he rarely had and no one to hunt down to bother his time to do it. Bipedal when he needs to be and wings tucked against his back, his time spent at the bright lit up areas.
At least having gone to the beach had made sure none of the usual viscera is an issue. Well an issue for everyone else, he's more than used to it. In fact, this two player game? Don't mind the clawed, beastial hand grasping an elbow and his other, more human hand pointing toward the game. Come play. House of the Dead style games never hurt anyone right? Right. Not right, but right at the moment.

But despite the fact that he doesn't have a stitch of clothing on, he does still have his ring. And it is very shiny - eye-catching in the sunlight, the thick silver band on the middle finger of his right hand glinting, and the pitch-black stone seeming to absorb just as much.
"I'm afraid you won't be adding my ring to your little collection," he says casually, cracking an eye open to meet the stranger's gaze. He is not put off in the slightest by the weird face-stitches or the mask or whatever other weirdness he's got going on. "It's got sentimental value," he continues explaining, and then smiles, more teeth than anything else.

For him, the weather is nothing, he can regulate his own temperature hot or cold, but knows that's not the deal for everyone else.
The boardwalk provides a lot of interesting host of information overload. The games were fun, the shops were fun and the food stalls sure kept him entertained. Regardless, he is looking for mostly a market, a food market more along the line of buying produce or something that he could bring back. There's someone he wants to apologize to and really, should've had the gumption to a long time ago.
Once more unlike his trist into the darkness of his own insecurities and fear in his own mind, Shoto looks much more relaxed. His features are next to stoic aside that sometimes he might raise an eyebrow and if he recognizes someone even in passing with the Glyph on their hand, the likelihood of him at least coming to introduce himself was more than just a passing possibility especially on the boardwalk.
Boat tours seemed fun. Very much so, the things that they advertised seemed like something he never would've been able to do at home. As long as whomever he's with puts the fish back, he even watches a few fishermen. Down the side of the boat and with his skill in swimming at least with knowledge in a pool, Shoto also enjoys the underwater snorkeling seems like fun and anyone with a glyph seems like a good person to pair out with and maybe hand signal out in the wonderous world of alien planet under water. Probably not his smartest move, but no one's accused him of being intelligent, just tactical. If not, they can find him more than happily looking at the bottom of a windowed boat, watching fish go by off the shores. The likelihood of him being attacked by a sea creature and not winning is slim to nill considering his ice abilities, but he's still taking all of the things he's doing with the utmost safety in mind.
Hotsprings? You're god damn right hotsprings. It's just more or less something familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. Mind you, he's gotten swim shorts to enjoy the water, but, you know. You do you.

Moving through the market, Ella feels the safety of Murmur's mind being yanked away from her own, and she lets out a little whine while the glyph on her hand begins to flash. The tugging sensation to find her new partner isn't something that Ella particularly likes, but it's standard procedure for being aboard Navi and she knows it.
Looking through the crowd in front of her, Ella lets her hand pull her along like a particularly eager puppy. Due to her short stature, she doesn't see him before they're close enough for their glyphs to sync up and go from flashing to glowing blue. When she sees him she gives him a smile, closing her eyes to adjust to their new connection. "Hey Shoto."
no subject
A startling feel of the new link and a glance down gave him a moment to collect his thoughts and turn his eyes upward as the flashing got more intense. He hadn't really gotten used to any of the partners he had, in fact, for the most part he had avoided the pull. The irony of her being the one to be his partner, though, that wasn't lost on him and he was pretty sure Navi was playing a horrible trick on him.
Smiling at him was the last thing he thought she would do, but he's glad somewhere under his usual mask of stoicness. "Ella, correct?" Just so he knew he remembered correctly. He wasn't exactly in his right mind when he met anyone back then.
no subject
In her head, it's clear that she doesn't blame him for what happened--it wasn't his fault and Ella could see how bad it bad it had been in the way that he'd reacted to her. That stuff is super terrifying, and she knows it. "I'm glad that we get to meet properly, partner." Ella is about to go in for a hug, and then she remembers that he'd not wanted her to then and she doesn't think he wants one now. But that's something that can come later.
It always comes later, just ask Lucifer or Chloe.
But focusing on other things, and she nods at his bag. "Did you find anything cool? I've been looking for like weird spices or stuff to add to food. Cause you know, don't want anyone to like get sick of what I'm cooking or whatever. I mean like the state of the kitchen before I got there... fue un desastre caliente!" What she says: it was a hot mess. Cause it was, it seems like. At least to her.

Beaches? Fuck yeah. Beaches for sure, something he was sure to enjoy even if he didn't know very well how to swim. He knew all the trivia for it, how to, when to, what to but it's never been practical to teach a successor how to swim. You sort of want them to sink and figure out if they can get to the top. Either way, he's happily on said beach, watching the competitions (you're damn right he is), the fireworks are a fun go of it and something he's not used to being able to see. With or without Mello around he's not unhappy to talk to people that he knows from the ship, or people he recognizes as people from the ship at most any event. Nude beaches? Yeah as long as no one cared that he wasn't going to bare it all to the world. No, his SNES themed swimtrunks are a staple for him at all points on the beach. He's already constantly wearing goggles, so why the hell not?
If you think Matt isn't at the arcades, you're wrong. You're so god damn wrong. He's there, alright, beating every high score and learning every pattern to the games with an ease that's almost supernatural. It isn't, it's just Him™️ and just how he goes where games are concerned. He always has and he's always enjoyed them. Don't expect to win against him if you're challenging him, you're better off challenging him to something like air hockey and the likelihood of him accepting the challenge is zero. Not his thing. But the high score is the prize for him, so if there's prizes, feel free to take them after his offering. He's only keeping one or two things for Mello who is his every waking reason for breathing.
no subject
Maybe Gen did win that one in the end.
He hadn't really met Matt or picked up on him except his glyph did, flickering and syncing up with him like some kind of device from the distant past. How about that.
Senku stopped when it did that and glanced to Matt, who probably felt that too. "Huh." He said, a little wryly. "Ship's playing tricks on us again."
no subject
In the end it sure was in his favour, Matt had done his best to sort of just exist and know his partner was somewhere on the ship. That didn't do much of what Navi wanted from him so when the telltale feeling in the back of his mind, and the glow of the glyph caught his attention, his eyes ticked up and spotted the first person looking like they were faced in his direction. "Is it?"
Probably, he knew the answer was probably. "Been through this a couple times at least. What's your first name?"
no subject
"I'm Senku." He responded, which would've been his answer regardless.

Senku wasn't interested in any of that. In fact, he definitely was more interested in exploring the jungle around resort, and from the open pouch in his tool belt it's easy to see that he's definitely got a tool sitting in it, which would later be revealed to be a bone axe, with a wood handle wrapped in leather, in a decorative manner. He could be found either surveying the area, working on two projects he decides he wants to work on - a basket woven of grass and vines to carry foraged nuts and berries and for fun, a chest he wants to make for storage for what is essentially their room.
Keeping busy keeps Senku happy, it was probably best to let him to it for the most part, or maybe give him a hand.
He can probably be talked into doing other things eventually. He might hit up the casino, as he's actually an excellent card shark. Maybe one would just like to have a meal with him. He could maybe be talked into eating more than once a day.
Senku is also likely to do fishing with or without the expedition, which might lead to a campfire and the cooking of fresh fish, which is a more interesting thing to watch than one might think, with how adept he is. He would also be easily talked into the hot springs.
However, without fail, every single night, Senku would be outside on his back, watching the night sky.

So Ella figures she's got at least that long before the casino catches wise and decides to pull her from the floor. Considering that like this place isn't supposed to have violence in it, she wonders how they enforce the rules, but that's a problem for later Ella.
Current Ella is dressed to the nines. Her hair is curled and she's wearing a sparkly dress and heels. Sitting at a table, she's got a fair amount of chips in front of her, and she's running another one between her fingers.
no subject
He was wearing a green polo shirt and his navy and green patterned quilt, with a pair of black hiking boots. His hair is pulled back in a high ponytail, secured with rope which still made him stand out to some degree as strange. Or perhaps not, on an alien planet.
He slid into a seat next to Ella and he'd already amassed a good number of chips. He quirked a smile. "Luck." He said at the expression of the dealer. "On the slots." Which was just a lie. He won most of them in cards, but took breaks to play the slots to lose some and be less suspicious.
Eventually he'd have to stop.

A member of the waitstaff showed up and Ella just gives them a quick grin and asks: "hey, can I get another one of these? And one for my friend here?" Because it's not exactly giving their relationship away, but it's also not like something that's entirely unfriendly either. Ella Lopez is the sort of person who is nice, and this is the sort of thing that she'd do for anyone. But she definitely does give him a grin and say. "Nice!" About the chips.
lucifer | open like a wide open... thing
Within the first day, Lucifer has traded his dark Italian wool for a much lighter linen in keeping with the general beachy climate of the place. He can be spotted casually strolling the boardwalk in said linen, browsing the stalls for souvenirs.
In the evening, he'll be back to his darker colors in the hotel casino, losing far more money than he wins, but he's so pleasant and charming about the whole thing that it hardly matters. It's Navi's money, anyway, right? He prefers blackjack to poker, by the way. He's learned his lesson about bluffing.
"Have you been to the spa?" he may ask conversationally between drinks. "I've ordered the deluxe package for my girlfriend, I'm hoping it suits her."
And, of course, at some point he will be trading the linen and the wool for... his birthday suit, at the nude beach. There's nothing quite like lounging in the sun, gaining even more freckles as he soaks in the rays and whatever approving attention from others wandering about.
"I know, I am very impressive, sculpted by the hand of God, yadda yadda. You're welcome," he says easily to anyone who stops by for a good look.

An additional extra that she has, is that she's wearing a pair of bad ass mirrored sunglasses. It's something that she pushes up into her mass of blond, the beach and the humidity forcing waves into it. "You know," Julia's hand rests on her hip, which is cocked to one side before she continues. "That line kinda could be said about anyone right? Considering God made humans." At least in Lucifer's universe--in her own Julia knows that the 'gods' of it are definitely not that one.
no subject
He's got no sunglasses, though he does still have his ring on - he pretty much never takes it off, sentimental value maybe. Anyway, his eyes are clearly visible, and only stray below her chin once, for a quick glance-over.
"He designed humans, He didn't individually create every single individual," he points out, waving her over to sit next to him if she wants. "My siblings and I were hand-crafted, so to speak."
no subject
"You know," Julia's eyes roll down his body in an appraising way but not a sexy one. No, this is her artist's eye with a little bit of vacancy within it or at least a distance. "You should let me paint you when we get back to the ship. Provided it's alright with your Detective first, of course."

Another day, Alex can be found at the hot springs because all of their benefits just sound entirely heavenly. This time however, Alex goes at night so there's less of a chance of sunburn. She's wearing another bikini but she's definitely more content just sitting in the springs and attempting (badly) to float in them. More than once Alex ends up bobbing under the water and coming up with a sputtered laugh, and a face full of dark soaking wet hair. Clearly she's not bothered by it, and is definitely chatty with anyone around.
Of course one can't live in the water constantly, so Alex can be found at the hotel or the casino she's not great at gambling because her face is so expressive, but she does try her luck at blackjack or roulette, things that don't rely on guile. Either way, Alex is mostly dressed up for the casino, or fancy dinners, but she also can be found in her normal jeans and button downs, even if they're short-sleeved this time.
Hot Springs
"Are you all-"
When Alex surfaces he blinks, startled, before he falls scrambling backward.
"Alex!-"
no subject
"Well, I guess I really screwed up that whole Little-mermaid-throwing-her-hair-back-thing that I'm pretty sure no actual human has ever been able to accomplish." But then noticing that the way that the Richard-shaped blur has tumbled back into the water, Alex quickly moves towards it without even thinking of reaching out to the side where her glasses were resting.
"Shit!" The word is said quickly as Alex extends her hands in front of her like she's in the dark looking for a light switch. "Richard, are you okay?!"
no subject
Moving forward to slide into the water, his hand reaches for the strands, "Mermaids aren't real if it makes you feel any better."

Closed to Simon
Besides, it's not like Ella doesn't have another option here. Let people keep the beach, because she's definitely heading to the waterpark. Not only is she heading over there, but she'd managed to swing by Simon's room and convince him to come with her. She's carrying an oversized basket, while wearing a coverup over her swim suit, after already making sure that they were both sun screened up. (Simon is so pale Ella is almost worried that he'd get a sunburn from just walking by a window.) Making sure he's with her, Ella is going to prattle on.
"Okay so like the most and I mean the most important thing about a waterpark is to always keep your watershoes on." Ella lifts up a foot and wiggles it around, the brightly colored shoe different than her normal platform sneakers. "One, this concrete will like rip the skin off the soles of your feet if you don't and two, you don't wanna step in something gross in bare feet."
no subject
Honestly neither was a water park, but Simon Reese has one weakness and that weakness is friendly women as bright as the sun. So when Ella came to collect him how could he bring himself to say no? Although, now that he was in the sunlight he absolutely looked like a nervous vampire waiting to burst into flames. He sure as hell wasn't out without being covered, but since they were going to a water park that meant he'd eventually have to ditch the shirt and go with swim trunks only... A prospect he wasn't excited about. He did insist they had to stop to pick up extremely strong sunscreen, and of course said swim trunks because like hell that was something he bought for himself on a whim.
Simon was lagging, but sticking close. He definitely looked extremely out of his element here and deeply uncomfortable. It didn't help that he'd agreed to not bilocate, so not only was he stuck here he was stuck here and couldn't get away. Mistakes were made.
"Why?" He asked, distracted warily watching the people they pass. Not bilocating didn't mean he couldn't listen in, however that just meant there was so much noise. He was practiced in shutting it out, yes, but damn if this wasn't more overwhelming than he'd expected when he agreed to this outing. Oh, yes, that reasoning made sense. Good thing he didn't plan on taking them off anyway. "There are a lot of people." He observed uncomfortably. Sedative time? Sedative time. Just going to quietly dig in his shorts pocket because Simon is always prepared.
no subject
"Yeah, I know." Her voice is soft and she looks up at him, the concern evident in her doe eyes and the way that her face shifts watching him. "It is a lot of people, and that part can be really hard, right? But dude, I'm here and I'm like not going to let you fall or get hurt or anything like that. We can do the stuff that we do together rather than like sending you into the deep end all by yourself. Just consider me your Yoda, alright?"
And then as if realizing that Simon may not in fact know who Yoda is, Ella of course explains still holding onto his hand as she leads them towards a quieter part of the park: the place where the lazy river is. Relaxation at it's finest, and the tubes are provided with no waiting. "Okay so like. Two things. One: can you swim? and Two, I'm gonna keep the cover up on." It looks like a little dress sort of thing, because Ella doesn't quite feel like getting all that naked.
