Hello, passengers! Hope you're all ready for an announcement, 'cause Navi's voice is getting beamed into your head right about ... now:

Attention, passengers.
We'll be docking soon at the city of New Ecrillion, on the planet Zegnolia, where we will remain for approximately three weeks, local time.
Please stand by.

From the announcement until landing, to help everyone adjust to the new environment, Navi will gift all passengers with a a faint hummed melody.

Upon docking and disembarking, passengers will find a bank counter just past the terminal, where your new windfall of Navigems can be exchanged for credits (the universal currency). Try not to spend it all in one place!

Now, go get your groove on! Just remember to take breaks to hydrate.

[ If Kaz was a more charitable fellow, he possessed a number of skills that could have helped the other teenager out of his predicament. However, as far as Kaz was concerned, charity was for tax deductions, money laundering, and hush money. Besides, Squall already blew it before Kaz started watching the scene play out, first by letting the man know it was valuable, and second by drawing extra attention to it. Rookie mistake.

One man's blunder was another man's profit, however, so Kaz did make use of the distraction to help himself to a few small things from the shop. Don't mind him there in the background, he knows how to act perfectly natural, and he gets away right as more people approach the flustered teenager.

Also, don't let it be said that Kaz isn't fair, as later maybe Squall will find a few extra bills of the local currency in his pocket, unable to remember where he got it from. Thanks for your help, citizen. And with that, he's long gone. ]

[Squall isn't a people person on the best of days, terrible at remembering names and faces of people that don't matter to him. It's harder to do when he's angry and unwilling to care about anything.

But he does notice Kaz leaving the shop. Nothing noteworthy in itself after the events of the day. But when he discovers the extra credits in his pocket back on board the ship and spots the familiar form on board as well, he finds himself following. He doesn't connect the dots between the two incidents, it's just another curiosity... And maybe it's about time he try to get to know the people onboard.

It would help if he's not just quietly following Kaz though.]

[ Kaz is certainly aware of the man tailing him around the ship, though at first it doesn't seem like it. For a while, he simply continues limping along, navigating the ships halls and stairways in silence, seemingly oblivious to being followed. Whether the man plans to attack him or introduce himself, Kaz is quietly braced for either outcome and gives him ample time to make his move.

However, after a while, he runs out of patience and abruptly stops in his tracks, planting his cane on the floor with a sharp tap to break through the silence. At first, he keeps his back to Squall, both hands folded over the head of his cane, staying quiet for another moment before he breaks the silence with his rough, rasping voice, opting for a standard greeting from back home. Straight and to the point. ]

What business?

[The sudden stop has Squall coming to a halt as well, startled into realizing he spent too long trying to think of how or why he's even approaching the other man that he hasn't spoken at all.]

Uh... [He clears his throat to get rid of that awkward tone.]

Nothing. You... looked familiar, that's all.

[At first, Kaz doesn't move, keeping his back to Squall and staying silent for a few moments. After a moment, though, he pivots, turning to face the other man and fixing him with that piercing stare of his.]

That's all?

[As he repeats the words, he quirks a skeptical brow. He definitely remembers Squall from the earlier incident, but from what he's observed of the other man, it doesn't seem likely that he's here to renegotiate the compensation Kaz slid his way. In fact, considering how Squall handled the previous situation, Kaz was inclined to believe that he was being honest. From what he could tell, the man was impulsive and lacked tact.

Not that he was about to let his guard down that easily, though.]

Seems to me you had plenty of time to think of a better excuse than that.
