Attention, passengers.
We'll be docking soon at the city of New Ecrillion, on the planet Zegnolia, where we will remain for approximately three weeks, local time.
Please stand by.

From the announcement until landing, to help everyone adjust to the new environment, Navi will gift all passengers with a a faint hummed melody.

Upon docking and disembarking, passengers will find a bank counter just past the terminal, where your new windfall of Navigems can be exchanged for credits (the universal currency). Try not to spend it all in one place!

"So you didn't read the brochure. Tsk."

Not that Lucifer ever does the reading, either. Pfft. That's for the birds.

"We haven't been kidnapped, per se. It's, oh, a multiversal anomaly or something like that." He waves a hand vaguely, because, again. Didn't do the reading.

"Oh, that silly thing?" Gen said - because he had read it, but he'd survived as long as he did by pretending to be far less intelligent than he was. He ran a hand through his hair, smiling a little.

Though, Gen did let Lucifer get a peek of his cards. "I grew up in the age of Wikipedia, my dear. It's hard to trust things unless I know what the source happens to be."

"I know what wikipedia is," Lucifer points out. "Navi, on the other hand, is the horse's mouth. So to speak. If the horse literally whispered in your ear, I suppose. You haven't spoken with them?"

Gen hummed. "Well, if a horse was writing an article about how special and great a horse he was, I would probably ask for a second opinion."

He tilted his head. "They allow us to actually communicate with it? Based on past experience ... sentient vehicles tend to be a great deal more opaque."

Given Gen's skepticism, speaking to Navi directly wouldn't prevent him from dismissing his paranoia, not necessarily. But it would give it a great deal many more points than earned by the train he was previous kidnapped by.

"Navi might be more opaque if they had ulterior motives, but it seems they really do simply want our help," Lucifer says easily. "But you and the Detective and Miss Lopez will certainly get along well. There's lots of evidence to support their story, such as the fact that we're clearly not prisoners, and Navi is clearly doing everything they can to keep us comfortable."

Gen nodded along, and gave Lucifer an apologetic smile. "I hope you forgive my skepticism, my dear. It really sounds as if you trust Navi - and I should chat with them and hear them out fairly. I don't mean to sound too mistrusting - it seems our current predicament is a bit different than the one I was caught up in."

There were way too many similarities for Gen to actually feel comfortable, to feel like he could trust the ship. But he could recognize at least that he would have to view the evidence for himself, instead of dismissing it out of hand.

He smiled craftily and shifted the subject; "Is that Detective you speak of the object of your affections?"

"I really don't care what you believe," Lucifer says, waving away the apology. "You can believe you've died and gone to Hell for all I care, despite the fact that it's not true."

But! He's been asked a question about the Detective! And he really must correct the record on that account. "We're together," he says, because object of your affections just feels a little one-sided. It is definitely not one-sided. "Unequivocally, a couple."

I'm really sorry about the delay in this tag x_x

That made Gen laugh, and he gave Lucifer a cheeky little smile. "There are few other places I'd end up after my death, my friend Lucifer, if such a place even exists for my reality. But I'd agree with you that I'm quite alive."

He would like to think he could tell the difference.

"Then, unequivocally, I give you my congratulations," Gen told him, appraising the man(?) in a slightly different light. "It's admirable you're going to such efforts to continue to impress her, knowing that."

"What? Why wouldn't I? It's not as if the Detective is some prize I've won that I can now place on a shelf to collect dust." Lucifer scoffs. "I certainly know better by now than to take her for granted."
