Hello, passengers! Hope you're all ready for an announcement, 'cause Navi's voice is getting beamed into your head right about ... now:

Attention, passengers.
We'll be docking soon at the city of New Ecrillion, on the planet Zegnolia, where we will remain for approximately three weeks, local time.
Please stand by.

From the announcement until landing, to help everyone adjust to the new environment, Navi will gift all passengers with a a faint hummed melody.

Upon docking and disembarking, passengers will find a bank counter just past the terminal, where your new windfall of Navigems can be exchanged for credits (the universal currency). Try not to spend it all in one place!

Now, go get your groove on! Just remember to take breaks to hydrate.

At some point he wants to interview him, to really dig in, to try and regain some semblance of science. The psychological profile would be fascinating. Learning about this would be more than fascinating.

Lucifer quirks an eyebrow. "In my experience, the really good ones are known. Perhaps not famous, but the really good ones don't care about that anyway. The people who know them, the people who flock to them because of that goodness tell the story."

His mind instantly strays to Alex and he lets out a soft chuckle, "What about the ones that stalk the bad ones? That try to reform the bad ones." His smile is soft and genuine, "That's a real sort of goodness. Even if it's absolutely futile."

He orders a drink and sips on it, mentally toasting to Alex in his mind.

"It's definitely futile if the bad ones don't want to reform," Lucifer says immediately. Then he hums and waves another round over. "If they do, however, well... I don't know. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't." On bad days, he thinks it's futile. Pointless. That he'll never be better. That he can only cause pain. On slightly better days, however - well, like now, for instance. He just really doesn't want it to be futile.

"It can't hurt, anyway, to have someone around who believes it isn't," he finally adds, thinking about how many times Chloe has brought him back from the brink. "Well, maybe, it can hurt them.

"...They don't deserve it." He's thinking of Coralee and Alex, Alex most of all, "The pain we cause them. Or the pain they cause us."

He tosses his back, "It's weird. I've been both. The one causing pain and the one being caused pain. This is good liquor."

"Is it so weird?" Lucifer snorts faintly. That's always how it goes, isn't it?

"Anyway, I agree they don't deserve it. They deserve - far, far better than -"

Well. Chloe deserves much better than him. He's always believed that. Even told her so, a few times.

"But they can make their own choices, too."

The alcohol is making him feel warm and pleasant and hell, if Satan truly knows his sins...

He shrugs, "My wife...I always thought I was too damn lucky to have her." His eyes grow wet, "I was willing to overlook everything for her. She cheated on me, she fought with me. She was adamant about us having children even though I have a child. And that..."

He shakes his head, "So she abandoned me, and Alex just follows me, like I matter. You have someone like that?"

"I seem to have several someones," Lucifer says thoughtfully. "Back home, my therapist, Linda, she was the first human I revealed myself to. She nearly died once because of me. And yet, she chooses not only to treat me, but to be my friend."

The alcohol is very good. And strong. Super strong.

"Ella, who should have every reason to doubt me, especially now that she's here and seen my devil face, seems to be fine with it. And the Detective - Chloe. I wouldn't have any of them without her. She tells me she loves me. Me."

You know. The Devil. Satan. Blah blah blah.

"...Congratulations." Richard bites down on the instant holy shit the devil has a girlfriend because he has a little bit of self control, "Sincerely. That sounds like something anybody needs but especially you."

He grips the table briefly, "...Tell me about her. "The Detective"."

Right? It’s pretty wild.

“She’s incredible,” he says, immediately and eagerly. “Clever, funny, makes bad guys tremble in their murderous shoes, has absolutely atrocious taste in music…”

He takes another drink. “And more than anything else, she’s good. She believes in second chances.”

Obviously.
