[The short goddess is in the garden, walking through it while she takes a sip from a particular looking flask that's shaped like a silver ring. The amount she slugs seems like it should be draining it of all the liquor but then she takes another sip before she wanders over to one of the blank places in the garden. Her finger touches the soil. For a second, nothing seems to happen, and then there's a sprout of what looks like a bush. The little sprig keeps growing and twisting until it becomes a tree that is above her head. As the branches spread out, red leather looking fruits spill out of it. Yes, this garden is lacking in pomegranates and Persephone has taken care of it. But she doesn't look at all happy when she takes a sip before speaking.]

Don't know how the hell ya pulled me from Hadestown considering what I am, but I need to be going back. I've got to try and convince my ass of a husband to spare the boy.

So many things wrong! They just love calling me the "Prince of Lies", "Master of Deceit", yadda yadda. I never lie. Point of pride.

And only a little, I've known a few mortals particularly well-versed in the sorts of powers that can cause trouble in the multiverse. Actually got a total reset once, no thanks to some wanker in a trenchcoat.

It's a bit much, even for a celestial being such as myself. I'd've rather stayed put, even if I was in Hell. I chose it, but not for the same reasons you did, I imagine.

To prevent the demons from full rebellion.

[ He sighs. ]

I abdicated, which left them without a king, and without a king, they started getting ideas above their station. As in, going up to Earth and harming innocent living humans. So, I had to take my throne back.

[ Long story short. And, you know, there was love in there too. ]

[threshes]

[Persephone gets it. She really does and she snorts a bit before she just says softly.]

Sounds like you could use a drink, brother.

[dealwiththe]

I could use a lot more than one.

[ He pulls his own flask out, opens it up, demonstrating that - yep, it's empty. ]

Unfortunately, mine doesn't refill itself.

[threshes]

Guess you should come over and have some of mine. Ain't run out since the beginning of time.

[She's definitely not hitting on him, it's a legitimate offer.]

[dealwiththe]

Darling, I thought you'd never ask! And you'll have to tell me all about your charming husband!

[ He wants to compare himself to other universe's Hellish rulers, obvs. ]

[threshes]

'Charming.'

[Persephone just snorts.]

I can tell you've never met him. But I'm in this... garden thing.

[dealwiththe]

He clearly managed to charm you, which obviously took some skill.

[ SMILE! ]
