Hypothetically speaking, are there any known abnormal factors that could cause a complete loss of a person’s voice? Illness and injury have already been ruled out.

STDs fall under illness, which has been ruled out. As for curses or punishments, I doubt this person's sins are grievous enough to provoke the wrath of the Almighty, or anyone else with similar abilities.

Also is it still a disease if it's caused by a curse?

At this point, I doubt anything would surprise me.

Curses aren’t known to be real where I’m from so I can’t make an educated guess on that. If you have evidence to the contrary, I’d be interested to hear it.

They're not usually real in my world, and probably wouldn't have any effect on me if they did, so I've no idea.
