It was a ridiculously large question to ask her, especially realizing she wouldn't even necessarily know what to ask with a year of time between them. That was alright, Simon intended to stick around for a while and do what he could to catch her up. There wasn't much sense in doing the breadcrumbs thing when she lacked the ability to follow up and discover any of it herself. He won't let her rest, true, but that doesn't mean he will be needlessly difficult either. It's always been with a purpose, his leading questions and hints. Driving her to discover the evidence, the truth, for herself. It would be too outlandish if he just told her, she needed to see for herself.
"There isn't a rechargeable option in space?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Oh, he understood not using the one she had, but he's surprised she didn't think to pick one up along the way. Provided they'd had opportunity, anyway. Strand will never pull his head out of his ass if he has something to say about it, Simon, on the other hand, has nothing but time and trollishness on his hands. Strand's in for trouble. He nodded at her explanation, of course Simon already knew about the recorder he has that annoying habit of doing that.
"No," He began, then after a beat added: "Not yet." Which probably wasn't the most reassuring.
