Video: Persephone

[Have a woman who is kneeling in the biodome surrounded by plants. As she speaks, she's stroking them, and they grow slowly, extending upwards towards her hand. She is, for those who remember her once again dressed in her black velvet that's covered in diamonds and other precious stones.]

Sure as hell didn't expect to be back here again. You didn't do too badly with my plants, at least. Not great but that ain't your fault.

Just so ya'll know, I'm Persephone. Yes, that one. Ask people who've been here for a while.

[they haven't talked before, and that's on jack; she'd been too nervous about approaching persephone, the persephone. that's about on par with walking up to chat with david bowie, in jack's mind. so yeah, she'd been a little too starstruck to try striking up a conversation before, but jack regretted her hesitation when persephone ended up in stasis.

her return, however, means jack has another chance to say the things she didn't before. she makes her way to the garden - not immediately after persephone's broadcast, she wouldn't want to come off like a pathetic fangirl - and quietly approaches. she hangs back for a moment behind a dense bush of some kind, then lightly clears her throat to announce her presence as she steps forward.]

Hey ... hi. I hope I'm not interrupting?

[jack hasn't noticed that the glyph on the back of her hand is blinking.]

Course I do, brother.

You a'right? You don't normally deny people the prettiness of your face.

Oh - it's nothing. I'm just a little - under the weather, is all. Nothing I can't handle.

[ He clears his throat, obviously not interested in elaborating. ]

What about you? How've you been?

Ain't interrupting anything, honey. Come on over.

[Give the fact that Persephone has a visitor, she stops poking around in the dirt like she did before and instead sits back on her heels and watches the mortal who doesn't quite feel right even if she doesn't know why. It ain't a bad thing, but it definitely is something that Persephone ain't ever seen before. Part of her job back home was judging souls after all, and it sure seems like this girl doesn't have one.

Weird.

But that don't mean that Persephone is going to act any differently, of course. Without any sort of preamble, one hand slides into the bodice of her dress and pulls out a circular little flask. Unscrewing the lid, Persephone takes a long swig of it before offering to the girl with a little bit of a warning.]

I stole it from my Daddy's stores when he weren't watching. So it has some kick when it comes to mortals.
