"'You, Alex Reagan, are the one note in the symphony of the universe.'" Alex says it from memory because if there's one thing about having the show here, it's that she's able to listen to it and go back over things that she may not have seen at the time. That she couldn't have seen because she was so sleep deprived and losing her mind during those last six months of her show. So much so that she'd been sent on a vacation in the middle of it and been alone in the woods when the Unsound anniversary happened. Well, actually probably not alone come to think of it. But it didn't matter if Simon had been there or not, she'd still felt alone. God, Nic is an asshole with her boundaries sometimes.

"I remember." The words are added after a second. "At the time, I'd thought it'd been because you know, a lot of pieces. But you'd also said that 'stumbled in to it.' I guess I'd thought that was me not having been I don't know. All of this." Alex can't help but to puff her hair out of her face, and she just looks to him once more. "But I'm guessing 'stumbled into' doesn't mean that. I'm guessing that's more to do with Strand than anything else." Because while they may have intended on her playing the Axis Mundi they couldn't have predicted how Alex had sort of stumbled into that relationship with Strand.
